3.0 out of 5 stars Bird book of Northeast Texas, September 14, 2008
This book is a good addition to your larger bird book. There are good pictures just not many of them. It also has some interesting information.

1.0 out of 5 stars Book is only appropriate for use with other bird books, December 25, 2007

This review is from: Birds of Northeast Texas (W. L. Moody Jr. Natural History Series) (Hardcover)
The author only skims the surface of the birds found in NE Texas. It appears that he drove around Pat Mayse and shot photos of the water birds there at that time. There are no plates of the winter birds found in the woods and feeders of the area. There are no descriptions of the birds cited, only the fact that they exist. In order to use this book, one must have another reference, i.e. Peterson's available. I found this book to be totally worthless...
