This shoe feels hard and tough so it won't fall apart anytime soon, but the sandal is not comfortable. For the price, I suppose I could have gotten much worse. If I could turn back the clock, I would have purchased a more expensive Birkenstock sandal and received one that is more comfortable. Not every Birenstock is made the same.

Years ago I was grounded by plantar fasciitis. My foot doctor recommended Birkenstocks. I live in them now. I can hike for miles, walk with gladness, and dance, get down and really dance, for hours.

Don't get these shoes wet. The cork is much softer if you don't get them wet. I use different shoes in the rain or when I go in the ocean. (I live in Hawaii). The Birkenstock Rockford boots are waterproof and I use them when I have to travel to cold climates in the winter, and to take hikes anywhere. Birkenstocks have transformed my life. Plantar Fasciitis is a pain. I am grateful for these shoes.

I size them at the local Birky store and order them for far less here. I still patronize the local Birkenstock store when I get new soles etc.

This sandal accentuates the beauty of the foot, while giving a substancial protective sole. It takes a little wearing to accostom the space between the toes to a thong, but once done, the sandal is comfortabe and easy to slip on without reaching down to the foot.

My friend had these & since she loved them as did I, I bought them. She told me how confortable they were & matched everything. They do indeed match so much however they were not comfortable & I have been trying to break them in. So far no luck!

These shoes are adorable, they match a ton of stuff, and best of all- they can be dressed up or dressed down. I bought my first pair of these in black a year ago and just recently got a pair in brown. They are pretty much the only shoes I wear! However, be sure to break them in before wearing them for long periods of time!!

For the seasoned Birkenstock wearer, I found these sandles to be a good design. I generally don't like the thong sandle style, as I find the space in between my toes to be very sensative. Surprisingly, these sandles stay put on your feet without putting pressure between the toes. They are fashionable enough to pull off in may situations. Overall I'm very pleased with this purchase.

These are very classy looking sandals, but the thong piece is hard plastic, not leather, and that made it pretty hard to break in. Still not completely comfortable between my toes. Cheaper brands I have bought use leather, why not Birkenstocks?

I have no arch and basically ANY kind of shoe gives me blisters and is just a waste of money and it's frustrating! So this looked promising. I hadn't work Birks since my college hippie days, and these silver Gizas looked a little more polished than other styles. At first, they turned out to be MURDER. The toe thing hit just wrong and almost bruised my feet in between my toes and did give me blisters. But I started wearing them just for 1 hour periods around the house and yard, and after a couple weeks, they are finally broken in and feeling good! I think it's worth it and I've gotten compliments on the "rich hippie" bohemian look .. The red patent leathers look good, too.

I love these sandals. They are great with shorts, skirts and pants. They are really comfortable once you break them in.

Order was received in a very timely fashion as promised and in time for Christmas. Item was exactly as described and in perfect shape.
