The shoe is oiled leather, not patent as stated in ad. Big bonus!! The color is much nicer than the picture on site. They are a great fit and go with many different outfits. As always, the size was perfect because it is a Birkenstock sandal. I already had purchased the same sandal in two of the three other colors last fall. However the U.S. sizing of these products it is confusing. Amazon should show the European sizing on all the Birkenstock products. It would be even nicer if Amazon had a filter to sort Birkenstock by SIZE on their site. Just saying.

BEWARE: The Twilight Blue Patent shoe does NOT exist. This is an error on Amazon's part that has yet to be corrected. I ordered the twilight blue patent shoe TWO times and received the twilight blue oiled leather shoe each time. Yes, Amazon took the shoes back but continues to ignore the description errors.

This shoe is extremely comfortable. I find myself wearing it even when I would usually go barefoot. It did take a day or so to break the top leather in. True to size. If you have an average to medium width foot, I recommend the narrow! I consider my foot to be wide and the narrow is perfect. My foot SWIMS in the regular width of this style.

I love this shoe! It takes a few days to break in the leather, but after that I've worn them almost everyday since I recieved them!

These sandals are great. It did take me one day to break them in, I got a raw mark on my big toe, but since the leather has become more flexible, I haven't had any problems and I wear them all day. The color is also great for wearing with jeans.
