The upper is made of Birko-Flor, a soft, synthetic material that looks and feels like leather, and features a single adjustable strap across the forefoot. The inside edge of the footbed follows a straight line from the big toe to the heel for proper foot alignment.

I was delighted to find these Birkenstock sandals. I have wanted a pair of patent leather ones for many years. I was excited to locate exactly what I wanted. They have the comfort you expect from a pair of Birkenstocks. If you have never worn Birkenstock products before, remember to wear them for short periods of time to allow them to soften and set to your feet. Then you will never want to take them off.

I purchased these over a year ago and have just gotten around to reviewing the purchase. I'm not wearing these to trek across the Sahara or whatever, but I have found this pair of Birkenstocks to be sturdy enough for my line of work. I'm on my feet all day, and it's lovely to be comfortable in Birks. Great addition to your Birkenstock collection! I wear mine with knee-length skirts and light cardigans for spring and summer. So pretty!

I normally love Birkenstock's but these were a little too flimsy for my taste. The little strap was just not enough to feel secure on my feet. It was kind of like wearing flip flops. They look nice and I'm sure they would last a long time - but I finally just gave these away.
