I am a newly converted Birkenstock fanatic! We have lived in Germany the past three years and I panicked that I had been here all this time, and now we are getting ready to leave to come back home to the States, and had not tried Birkenstocks! Once I did though, I was hooked! I went from Birkless to having multiple pairs (ashamed to admit it: FOUR). I love all the support Birkenstock offers. I've never felt anything like it. It is like a hug for your feet! I recently purchased these silver mayari from amazon at an awesome price. I can wear these all day, doing all kinds of activities, with no pain in my feet or in my lower back as I usually get. The mayari style is amazing because it offers you two places to customize the fit. I LOVE the birko-flor material as the inside is so soft and comfortable. I have had no problems with chafing or blisters. Also, the footbed is surprisingly flexible to make for great walking. Like I said: a hug for your feet! You won't be sorry!

I feel like a goddess in these shoes. Not the typical birk flinestoney look. The color is a beautiful bronze. The fit... well lets say I don't find myself complaining about my back anymore. Love my birks!!!!

I love this sandal...I have worn birkenstock for years...they mold to your food and provide great arch support. they take some time getting use to if you never worn them before..but after that you truly won't want to wear any other ones.

Birkenstock Devotees, I owe you an apology. I am sorry I doubted you. In the past I poked fun at Birks and turned up my nose at their style (lack of it was my opinion). But I got the silver Mayaris for my birthday this past spring and after a summer of near-constant wear, not only do they still look great, but they still feel FANTASTIC on my feet. A former lover and collector of flip flops, I always had lower back and heel pain during the sock-free months; after wearing Birkenstocks for a summer, I can honestly say I don't miss my flip flops and have actually thrown them away (well, every pair except one, and I haven't worn those all summer).
P.S. Amazon has the best prices on Birkenstocks online and their free shipping can't be beat (shameless plug, but it's true. I am a master at price researching). I just bought my sister a pair of Birks and am on the lookout for post-season sales so I can pick up another pair on the cheap.

I have been after a pair of Birkenstocks for ages. These are great, comfortable and look good with everthing too. I order the narrow size which is pefect. I love them and have them on right now. The price was fantastic, much cheaper than Australian prices, and the delivery was amazing from the US to Melbourne Australia in 4 days!!

I have a few pair of this design in nubuck, so when I saw the silver pair, I figured what the heck. These are much more comfortable than my nubuck cozumel birks, which dig into my foot a little. By the end of summer, I had a permanent red mark in the middle of my foot.

I don't know if the material is leather or birkoflor, but it is definitely more comfortable --and stylish too!

I got these shoes because my flip flops have been bothering my feet and I have heard wonderful things about Birkenstocks. I usually wear a size 42 in women's European shoes (11 in the US), but these size 42 are super small!! My heel hung off the back of the shoes. I had to return them, and because they do not offer a larger size, will not be able to wear any Birkenstocks shoes.

To me Birkenstock shoes are the best in the market. When there is a great sale you need to go for it.
Be sure to use sizing chart to your actual shoe size.

Great sandal. Tried on a friend's to get the size. I like this Birkenstock in silver as it is actually 'pretty' for such a sandal. The footbed takes a day or so to get used to if you haven't worn before. But I think they are glam enough for Sydney! Even my teen girls think they're cool!
