I bought the antique blue, which looks as it does in the picture; navy blue with not too much visible antiquing. It's not mentioned in the description, but I was sent the soft footbed, which is normally a few dollars more than the originals. Not a problem because they are VERY comfortable, and not as masculine as the Arizona's. This is a great shoe for schlepping around summer concerts, festivals and flea markets when a lot of walking and standing is going on. These aren't 6" studded platforms & won't go with everything in my closet, but even a diva has to give her feet and the show shoes a rest. These are good to drive in and the neutral blue looks good with bold colored pedis too.

I have never worn a pair of birkenstocks before and I am sold. This particular sandal is wonderful. The bed of this shoe is leather and extremely comfortable as the arch allows support to be able to wear ALL the time without my feet hurting after standing. The shoe has begun to conform to MY foot, very nice after a long day standing. They are my slippers!

I am 54 yrs and a Medical person and I have much feet pain (metatarsaligia). I have heard about this brand and never wanted to wear these because they really aren't a PRETTY shoe....but since the pain can be so debilitating I thought I would try them and I AM VERY PLEASED about how comfortable they are and has helped my feet pain. There is a breakin period of about 18 hours. I have 3 pair now and had to give most of my other shoes to the Goodwill. Really, foot pain peoples should give them a try :-) I am glad I did :-)

My wife is a huge Birks fan and gets a pair every Christmas. She has always been p;ease with the design and wear of the sandals. The footbeds are long lasting and can be replaced when they start to come apart.
