5.0 out of 5 stars Birk flip-flops
Since these are not the typical Birkenstock sandal, I was skeptical. Surprisingly, they conformed to my feet and are incredibly comfortable!
Now you can have Birks on in the garden without destroying them. Water, mud and sand...everything just rinses off! They're strong and durable and well worth the price.

1.0 out of 5 stars These are not the quailty product that you can usually expect from Birkenstock
I was highly disapointed, I love Birkenstock, and own several pairs, I have problems with my feet and Birkenstock & Keen are the only sandal type shoes I can wear and not hurt at the end of the day. These are very cheaply made, they don't fit like regular Birkenstocks and they are not worth the price, cheap plastic and my toes hung over the front of the thong by almost...

These are very cute and I liked the streamline look of them. I need the high Birk's arch, though and these didn't give me the support of other Birk's. Also, the material of the thong part felt harsh between my toes--it's not quite as soft as regular flip flops. For normal feet that don't need the extra arch support and are used to having something between their toes, I recommend these. I wish I could have kept them, as they would have been perfect for working in my garden!

1.0 out of 5 stars Unfortunately the description is wrong, they are Made in China., May 29, 2008

Very Disappointed. These are being returned because they are NOT German made Birkinstocks, they are stamped on the bottom Made in CHINA (with USA and a number on the footbed...would that be a patent number?) . Although the foot bed may be shaped like an original Birki there is not enough height from the foot bed to the straps esp. on one sandal (?). They also appear to be made for the thin foot.

I wear the Caribbean Made in Germany waterproof sandal and have several pairs. I highly recommend them for comfort and durability. The Amazon description of the Waikiki lead me to believe I was getting German Birkenstock sandals, Made IN GERMANY. I did not see CHINA any where in the Amazon description, did I miss it? I do not buy Made In China shoes/sandals and would Never Ever have ordered these had I had accurate info.

These are not comfortable at all. As soon as you get them wet they make the most awful squeaking noise. Not good at all.

3.0 out of 5 stars pretty good but give me blisters, July 26, 2008
I have very flat feet and these give me pretty decent arch support. I haven't worn them in the water yet, which is what I originally bought them for. They rub between my toes rather uncomfortably so I don't wear them very often. They fit true to size, not a size larger as most of these sandals do.

These sandals are very comfortable. I wear them all the time around the house, instead of going barefoot. I had foot surgery several years ago and was told not to go barefoot, so I either wear Birkenstock sandals, or these, which I call a Birkenstock flipflop.
