these shoes are very true to size and feel like they were made for my foot. I will not ever wear inexpensive flip flops again!

From the look of the material it's surprising how comfortable these sandals are---would definitely recommend!!!

I have been a long time wearer of birkenstocks in the 'madrid' style. They are comfortable and cute. Be careful with the sizing if you are new. I go by the European sizing. I'm 38 which birkenstock call a 7 but I take a 7.5 -8 in other shoes which is European 38 or 39. If I bought the size they say is equivalent to an 8 it would be huge! They take a few days to feel normal when you 1st try them because of the molded footbed but give them a few days to get flexible and they are great.

THE NAME BIRKENSTOCK SPEAKS COMFORT. I WEAR THESE SHOES DAILY EVEN IN THE WINTER WITH SOCKS. THEY ARE ONE OF MY MANY COMFORT FOODS SO TO SPEAK. THEY JUST FEEL REALLY GOOD.

I ordered the 'braun' Madrid Birkenstocks and received it the next day! Even after measuring my feet, I was unsure that they would be able to fit into the 36 & narrow size, but I read other reviews that said to go down a size they typically recommend for your American size (mine is 6 1/2). I haven't broken them in yet, so if for some reason they don't prove to be as amazing as I think they'll be, I'll edit this review.

its a great shoe - 100% original birkenstock - i would have given 5 stars but the buckle seemed to be a bit discolored, but for the money it's hardly noticeable.
