Lack Luster Sound For We Are Scientists, June 19, 2010

For a band that has an immense amount of talent, the sound of this live ep makes you want to return the disc. The drums are too fast for the guitar and bass to keep up. The sound is utterly woeful. The lack of bass is uncalled for. The high and mids are completely clipped off( for you uninformed sound nuts, it means the highs and mids out loaded the speakers, or the speakers are distorting because they are getting too much input). The vocals are clear but the bass guitar is unheard. The drums were well miked still it doesn't help. Next time a live ep is released WES's need to hire someone with talent on the drums and talent at recording or mixing a live show. Very disappointing.
