It is chocked full of good information for a Disneyland newbie.

This is interesting reading, with good information to help with our trip (this is our second to WDW and we have been to DW several times, so we are not novices).

I bought this book because we are going to Disneyland at the beginning of May.

An excellent guide with almost all you need to know to enjoy Anaheim's Magic Kingdom. Of course, readers could add more tips and suggestions that are NOT in the book. Example: don't forget to enjoy Goofy directing an invisible orchestra during the day where the evening's colorful water fountains are displayed for World of Color. The same fountains are featured in Instant Concert: Just add Water. Goofy's antics are hilarious!

Also, the book doesn't mention the patriotic Flag Retreat ceremony at the Disneyland flag pole every afternoon. That's when the Stars 'n' Stripes are lowered until the next morning. Active duty, veterans, and retired troops surround the flagpole when their service songs are played. And they proudly salute the flag during the National Anthem. This is more spectacular when the Disneyland Band is on duty. This is a tradition since the park opened in 1955.

This is a very concise and workable book to look thru. I have a tour book that is many more pages and is extraordinarily detailed, but to get thru it is really tough. This is interesting reading, with good information to help with our trip (this is our second to WDW and we have been to DW several times, so we are not novices). the coupons are ok, but not sure if many will work for us. Overall, the book has great info that is very relevant.

I bought both the Birnbaum's Guide and the "Unofficial Guide to Disneyland.

Birnbaum's Guide gives loads of information regarding Disneyland. It's very colorful and uses a lot of images -- very important for a visual person like me. It does sound like an "insider" wrote it though. For me it was just a thorough introduction of the theme park with some "hot tips". I still ive it 5 stars nonetheless. But I think people should buy this book with the "Unofficial Guide". If you're looking for some in-depth tips, and information about everything you need to know before your Disneyland vacation, the "Unofficial Guide To Disneyland" has it -- more comparisons, but no colorful images.

I was very excited to read in this guide about a couple of tours that are offered at Disneyland and California Adventure. So then I was VERY disappointed when I called to book the two tours I was interested in, when I was told by the Disney rep that the one tour had been discontinued YEARS ago.... VERY SLOPPY work on Birnbaum's part, and cast everything in this guide into doubt. They, NOT Amazon, should refund my money!!

This book provides insight on not only visiting the park but getting there, lodging, meals and everything to fully enjoy Disneyland. This book is a must if you are going to visit the happiest place on earth.

I bought this book because we are going to Disneyland at the beginning of May. Lots of great tips how to beat the crowds and thing to do first. This is a very informative book and I will be bringing it with me as a bible.

It gave me the basics of how to get through the parks. Since I had not been there in over 20 years there were new areas and events that I would have been unfamiliar with unless I had this to use as a reference. I was glad I purchased it before getting there.

Getting ready for a 2014 trip to Disneyland. This book is surprisingly thin for the $15.99 price tag. It is chocked full of good information for a Disneyland newbie. I wish it had a specific chapter showcasing some of the differences between Disney World and Disneyland. This will probably be our only trip to Disneyland while we plan to make a few to Disney World. I want to make sure I hit everything that is unique to Disneyland.
