One of the best "after life" books in print.,
By Leroy Kattein (Tulsa, OK USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Birth Called Death: The Remarkable Story of One Woman's Journey to the Other Side of Life (Paperback)
I really enjoyed reading this book. I had a Near Death Experience 17 years ago and have learned a lot about the life after death. This is as good a description as any. Wish I knew her brother Troy myself.

Comfort, guidance and inspiration,

As a psychologist who has studied mysticism, philosophy and transpersonal psychology and who has worked with the terminally ill for years I can say with confidence that this book holds a great deal of value for those who grapple with issues of their own mortality. Kathy Jordan's book offers a heartfelt, insightful and very personal map of the unfolding of consciousness after death. I recommend it not only to those struggling with the loss of a loved one or with the inevitability of their own mortality but to anyone searching for a deeper understanding of their existence.

I really enjoyed reading "The Birth Called Death". The author does a wonderful job of pulling the reader in, and keeping them interested throughout the entire book - In fact, I had trouble putting this book down!
"The Birth Called Death" is about the author's experiences on the Other Side after the death of her brother - who began taking her through the "tunnel" so that she could learn about what life is like after "death". As with all books of this nature, it's impossible to prove that the events described did in fact occur - but this just puts it in the reader's court to determine if it feels right & true to them. Overall, I would highly recommend this book to anyone interested in spritualtiy in general, and life on the Other Side in particular - it's both an easy & interesting read.

Best book on death I have ever read,
This review is from: The Birth Called Death: The Remarkable Story of One Woman's Journey to the Other Side of Life (Paperback)
If you are afraid of dying, have a loved one or friend one who died or is dying, then this is the book for you. It is so simple of a little girl's adventure and yet so complex, your thinking about it all the time. Easy reading in a story form, which is how I like to read books. Don't really care much for the lecture type book. This one is good and really makes you think. I hope she writes more, can't wait.

Kathie Jordan,

This review is from: The Birth Called Death: The Remarkable Story of One Woman's Journey to the Other Side of Life (Paperback)
I received this book from the author herself and it really is one of the best gifts I have ever received and it came at such a good time for me. My father has been ill for a few months and I was afraid to lose him. After reading Kathie's story and speaking with her personally, I know it will be still be painful for me to lose him but he will be fine. I hope Kathie's next book comes out very soon. This one left me wanting more! Thank you so much Kathie!

I found this to be a fascinating glimpse into a world about which I really know nothing. Hearing of Kathie's adventures, whether in the dream state, or out of body, makes life beyond life much more safe and interesting to me. I recommend this book for anyone who is curious about loved ones who have passed on, and/or about what will happen to them after death.

Uplifting and wise!,

I've studied mysticism for about thirty years. I feel there is no better book to give to the beginning or the advanced spiritual seeker. The Birth Called Death comforts us regarding death, and helps us to live the here and now to the best of our ability. Though it is an easy read, it's an intuitive book that helps us to open our hearts and minds to the divine wisdom that is truly beyond words. I highly recommend it!

The Birth Called Death,

This review is from: The Birth Called Death: The Remarkable Story of One Woman's Journey to the Other Side of Life (Paperback)
In The Birth Called Death, the young Kathie is repeatedly pulled from her sleepy body by a deceased older brother and offered an extraordinary hands-on tour of the heaven realms. Obviously a very special soul, this little girl is given red-carpet instruction, from the first of the heavens-with its trauma wards-to the highest realms where reside awesome souls such as Jesus. Through her adventures we encounter the paths of relatives, angels and saints.I have read much of the contemporary literature of death and dying. But never have I read a personal travel guide. It is one thing to study theory and speculation, but quite another to receive first-hand instruction-charmingly and disarmingly from the voice of a seven year-old girl! For anyone concerned with the hereafter-and if you don't think you're one, look again-this book is a gift from Heaven itself. No writing has ever lifted so much off my mind and left me so free to fly!

Interesting Read,
This review is from: The Birth Called Death: The Remarkable Story of One Woman's Journey to the Other Side of Life (Paperback)
If you have a loved one who had crossed, and who hasn't, this book will be an interesting read for you. Although it covers only a selected sphere of life after life, the author is honest and insight about her reasonings about the visits. I also enjoyed Tiffany Snow's book Psychic Gifts, she is an NDEr and tells more about the other side too, from a lightning strike. There is more and more research coming to light, and more personal stories too - it's time to ask the right questions, and get the answers from people who know!

My Fav. NDE Books - I've Been There Too,
This review is from: The Birth Called Death: The Remarkable Story of One Woman's Journey to the Other Side of Life (Paperback)
One day in 1995 I died, and had a NDE. Ever since then, I've been reading everything I can on the subject. According to most stories I've read, I had an unusual one, not going down a tunnel, but experiencing many interesting phenomena all the same. It seems to me that there are some NDE books and magazine articles that are just hype, and published just to give recognition. I have found, through my many years and multitudes of books on the subject, that there is an underlining truth and spirit that pervades the true experiences. So, I have compiled a list of my best reads for NDE books - ones that I consider genuine and adding validating light to the personal NDE experience. I have left out compilations, these are personal narratives. I hope you enjoy them too.
