FAMILY MAN

A story written for the heart—and from the heart…by the bestselling author of Jacob's Girls.

Bryan's niece. Jennifer's daughter. He knows it. She doesn't.

Dashing ladies' man, brilliant entrepreneur and bachelor uncle, Bryan Chambers is now a bachelor father. That's because suddenly—tragically—he's the only remaining family his eleven-year-old niece, Nicki, has. And obviously he's not doing a good enough job of surrogate fathering, as Nicki simply isn't getting over her parents' deaths. There's only one thing that interests Nicki these days and that's finding the woman who gave her away eleven years before. Her birth mother.

Desperate to help his niece, Bryan tracks down Jennifer Teal, Nicki's birth mother. She's twenty-seven—beautiful, successful and unmarried. But there's a hitch or two.

The first hitch? She doesn't seem to like kids. The second? Bryan's falling in love with her.

A Powerful and Intense Story

The Birth Mother, by Tara Taylor Quinn, is a powerful and intense story. A story written from the heart. The Birth Mother is an excellent story that takes an unflinching look at the difficult issues of adoption and superbly crafts a penetrating, highly emotional tale guaranteed to warm reader's heart. Tara Taylor describes every single detail in the novel so we can almost see and feel them. Most of the times we judge and criticize mothers who give away their babies. But what do we know about the pain of those mothers? This story makes us think about teenage pregnancy, about the young mother who for many different, major reasons gives her baby up for adoption. This novel gives us the opportunity to analyze how difficult is for a mother to recuperate from the loss of her child. The Birth Mother tells us about Jennifer Teal, a mother that gives her baby away because she is too young to provide him the home he deserves. This novel is a very special, beautiful story, bound to makes us feel the pain, the guilt, and the heartache of a mother forced to say good bye to the most important person in her life, her little daughter. In my opinion Ms. Quinn is an excellent writer who knows what readers want and gives it to them every time. In The Birth Mother Ms. Quinn captures the characters' pain and heartache so vividly that readers can not help but feel themselves inside the story. The story teaches compassion and understanding to idealistic people who might be critical of a young woman's selfless choice.
