Betsy I hope you are still doing good on selling this book. I just want you to know I just now seen the front cover of your book. You know I love you as if I have known you all of our lives. Love Your Sister Marilene Fitzwater.

This book is a procedural on how adopted children may find their birth parents. I read all of these types of books I can find, and the stories are always interesting, as this one was. This book is a procedural on how adopted children may find their birth parents. I read all of these types of books I can find, and the stories are always interesting, as this one was. An interesting story. But the writing itself is so sophomoric I was constantly rolling my eyes at the pendantic sentences and little asides that have nothing whatsoever to do with her search. It was painful to read. But read it I did, and it would appear everyone has a happy ending here. Oh, except for the adopted family who raised and educated her; they are only mentioned as villans who might discover what she was up to. That part is sad and, probably, quite unfair. I wonder if she has told them yet?

5.0 out of 5 stars Birth Mother Search, December 22, 2002
This review is from: Birth Mother Search: Someday I'll Find Her : The True Story of One Woman's Success in Locating Her Birth Mother (Paperback)
This story takes place in Canada. As a birthmom, I enjoyed this adopted woman's account of her search. I felt that Schumacher didn't express much emotion in her book, but she writes in a very straightforward way, which is easy to follow.
