5.0 out of 5 stars Great Rock n' Roll, November 17, 2008
This review is from: The Birth of Rock 'N' Roll { Time Life - Various Artists} (Audio CD)
The Birth of Rock 'N' Roll is a two CD set that is one hour, twenty-three minutes, and eight seconds. With the exception of two songs, every song hit the chart; mainly in the Rhythm & Blues Records category. Seven of the songs lasted more then one week with the winner going to Sixty-Minute Man by The Dominoes. That one song lasted fourteen weeks at #1. What can I say; give me that old time rock n' roll instead of that junk they play today. It has artist on it that people like me have forgotten about. Some of the artists are: Faye Adams (Shake a Hand), The Nutmegs (Story Untold), The Dominoes (Sixty-Minute Man), Joe Turner (Honey Hush), Ruth Brown (Oh What a Dream), and Joe Liggins (Pink Champagne). They don't make songs like these anymore. The Birth of Rock 'N' Roll gets an AAAAA+++++ from me.
