Skip Curtis, born and educated in Springfield, Missouri, is on the board of directors of the Route 66 Association of Missouri; an active member of the State Historical Society of Missouri, the Missouri Historical Society, and the National Trust for Historice Preservation;and a regular contributor to Route 66 Magazine. His previous works are The Missouri US 66 Tour Book, and Why'd They Name It That?
