About the Author

Skip Curtis, born and educated in Springfield, Missouri, is on the board of directors of the Route 66 Association of Missouri; an active member of the State Historical Society of Missouri, the Missouri Historical Society, and the National Trust for Historice Preservation;and a regular contributor to Route 66 Magazine. Reading this book was like a ride with Skip in a shiny old car, sucking down a cold beer and hearing all about the history of this essential American highway.

A well written book packed with photos. You needn't even have ever visited Springfield to enjoy this look at the past and at the history of Route 66. Fun!
