Product Description

Book One of the Awakening Trilogy

In the middle of the night Caislyn Vadoma auto-sketches a scene in which her parents are kidnapped from the family bookstore. She awakens in the morning to find that her sketch, a rare glimpse into the future, has already become reality.

Jasmine DeLaney leaves her life behind when an abusive boyfriend puts her in the hospital. She becomes Jaxon, an art consultant in a new town, always looking over her shoulder for the danger she knows will catch up to her eventually.

As Caislyn scrambles for clues to her parents' whereabouts, she casts a spell that leads her to Jaxon. From the moment they meet, the girls are emmersed in a world of chaos and secrets. Finding out they are part of a very dangerous prophecy not only has them on the run, but discovering their own hidden pasts as well.

While trying to come to grips with who they are, how they fit into this prophecy, and where Caislyn's parents are the girls must also face the fact that the stalker vampire who appears to be helping them, may just be putting them in more danger.

The trilogy continues with murder, mayhem, sorrow, a corrupt brotherhood, and one hell of a secret/conspiracy that could change the world forever. Caislyn and Jaxon are the powers to either bring this secret into the light or protect it forever!

Prarnormal fun! June 6, 2011

In Birthrights you will find Vampires, Lycans, Werecreatures, Witches, Fae's and the like, co-existing in a parallel world to that of us mere human's.

In the beginning something goes terribly wrong (no spoilers here) and Caislyn sets out determined to find her missing parents. The family lawyer and others believe them dead, but Casilyn refuses to believe it. In her quest to find them she joins forces with Jax, a very strong individual who is just beginning to learn what she is fully capable of.

The two main characters in this story come across as being very relatable to the reader. As I read along, I found myself nodding my head as the character's mannerisms and quirks felt real. I know someone like that...

I also felt as though I was fighting and struggling right alongside the two main characters. Oh, and there's that troublesome, meddlesome vampire who... well I don't want to give anything away.

All in all, I found this book to be an entertaining read which left me wanting more.

Birthrights- WOW!!!! June 4, 2011

Don't you hate when you get to the end of a book, and you are so into it, that you find yourself checking to make sure there are no more pages to read!? This is what happened to me at the end of Birthrights. The extreme detail, and the vivid description of each character and creature ranging from Feys to Lycans to Weres to Vamps, and last but certainly not least in this story -Witches-, left me feeling like that author is indeed a witch herself -living among us in our human world-. How else could she have written so specifically about the many different powers that each of the character had, their way of life and the story behind it? *Shaking my head in awe*

In my mind, I was living the story with the two main characters -Caislyn and Jaxon-. I laughed with them through their discoveries, and my heart went out to them at their human like need to search for answers to what had happened to the both of them that brought them to the point in the book. By the end, I found my self wishing that the second book in this trilogy was already out so that I keep on reading. I want more! More answers, more story, more Witches!

With so many books out here today focusing on the Vampire world, I was pleasantly surprised to see how the author -Christine Butler- incorporated `Vamps' in such a way that they played more of a background role throughout. I, personally have never fallen in love with a Witch story like I did this one, and it has really opened my mind to wanting to check out more book like this.

I can only imagine what Caislyn and Jaxon have waiting for them in book 2 of the Awakening trilogy, and I'm anxiously waiting for its release in September 2011!

I REALLY look forward to more adventures!

Birthrights is an exciting read that is impossible to put down! From the moment I began reading, this book wove a spell around me and I found myself reading late into the night. You will look forward to discovering what adventure happens next with each page turn...I know I did!

The authors take you into a world where humans and non-humans coexist, with character descriptions and personalities so vivid they become real. With a perfect mix of seriousness and well-placed touches of humor, this book will elicit a rainbow of emotions as you travel through the story with Caislyn and Jaxon. Worth every penny and then some, Birthrights definitely has a place on your favorite book list!
