Book Description

November 19, 2009

A legacy that has touched audiences all over the world began in Dallas, Texas, in 1972 when Zig Ziglar recorded perhaps the definitive work of his career. Biscuits Fleas and Pump Handles is the compilation of observations, thoughts and research Zig had spent years preparing to present as the foundation of a philosophy born of hope and nurtured with integrity. In this 60 minute recording, Zig lays out a plan for living a balanced and fulfilling life, teaching us that we can have everything in life we want if we will just help enough other people get what they want. The applications outlined in this message have changed lives, built careers, and propelled individuals and institutions to unexpected heights. Used as the cornerstone for all training provided by Ziglar, this program is packed with answers to tough questions in turbulent times.

Titans of business, politics and sports consider him to be the single greatest influence in their lives.

From AudioFile

The iconic motivational expert gives a spellbinding talk about goals, commitment, integrity, and faith in one's resources. In a recording made when Ziglar was in his late 40s, he delivers nonstop aphorisms and stories in his unmistakable preacher's cadence. He's a master at projecting palpable good will and persuading his audience to embrace his ideals. Though Ziglar has offered this advice before, he gives it renewed power as he unfolds point after point with a vocal dynamism and confidence that few listeners will be able to resist. The core message is classic Ziglar: All of us can get to the top if we specify our goals, stay positive, and never waver in believing in our right to be happy and successful. 5.0 out of 5 stars Take This Authors Advice, April 8, 2004
By A Customer
I have read this book at least 6 times in the past 15 years and it gets better each time I read it. I always find some new
gold nugget I didn't pickup the last time I read it.
Zig Ziglar use to sell cookware door to door. And his knowledge and techniques he shares in this book are not rehashed from hearsay but from actual experiences of his climb to the top. If you want to keep climbing to the top(in wealth, health, and happiness)this book is a must read!! By the way, in life, there's always another step to take to get to the top of the mountain in our journey of life. This book can help you get there.

5.0 out of 5 stars A classic..., January 3, 2002

(REAL NAME)
The thing that's so likeable about this book compared to others available on the market, is the friendly conversational manner
in which it was written. Zig is no absolutist, his style is
humorous and low key - which is refreshing for a change. The book is filled with dozens of motivational stories guaranteed to lift ones spirit. I recommend it to all who can read, young and old. Perhaps the only flaw about this book which prevents it from becoming a true classic, is the fact that most of the stories come from the recommended reading section which is already of classical status. Secondly, the book never made it well as a paperback. This is probably because of the fact that it was too long and some parts even a bit too corny. But if you're looking for a neat little book that ties it all into one - this is it.
It's a shame more people don't buy into Zig's philosphy's, if so,
this would be a far better world indeed.
