5.0 out of 5 stars Take This Authors Advice, April 8, 2004
By A Customer
I have read this book at least 6 times in the past 15 years and it gets better each time I read it. I always find some new
gold nugget I didn't pickup the last time I read it.
Zig Ziglar use to sell cookware door to door. And his knowledge and techniques he shares in this book are not rehashed from hearsay but from actual experiences of his climb to the top. If you want to keep climbing to the top(in wealth, health, and happiness)this book is a must read!! By the way, in life, there's always another step to take to get to the top of the mountain in our journey of life. This book can help you get there.

5.0 out of 5 stars A classic..., January 3, 2002
By

The thing that's so likeable about this book compared to others available on the market, is the friendly conversational manner
in which it was written. Zig is no absolutist, his style is
humorous and low key - which is refreshing for a change. The book is filled with dozens of motivational stories guaranteed to lift ones spirit. I recommend it to all who can read, young and old. Perhaps the only flaw about this book which prevents it from becoming a true classic, is the fact that most of the stories come from the recommended reading section which is already of classical status. Secondly, the book never made it well as a paperback. This is probably because of the fact that it was too long and some parts even a bit too corny. But if you're looking for a neat little book that ties it all into one - this is it.
It's a shame more people don't buy into Zig's philosphy's, if so,
this would be a far better world indeed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Zig Ziglar is a Master Motivator!, March 17, 2000
By A Customer
Someone recommended this book to me and I was a little skeptical about reading it because it is long. But, once I started I got hooked! WOW! I cannot say enough good things about this book. The best thing about it is its conversational nature. You feel like Zig is talking to you the whole time you are reading. He also encourages you to keep reading by having you move up a symbolic staircase as you read--a stairway to the top. Zig truly encourages you to stop the cycle of negative thinking and become the successful person you are capable of being. I think this is the best motivational book written--BUY IT!

5.0 out of 5 stars ZIG is "THE MAN", January 23, 1999
By A Customer
Motivational, inspirational, heart warming and career building are just a few words to express this and all of Zig Ziglars books. I first read this book 15 years ago and it changed my life. I have numerous times purchased this book for business associates down on their luck or in need of Zig's guidance. Thank you Zig for your continued devotion to give people a "Check up from the Neck up" and keeping them from contracting that "dreaded" disease, "hardening of the attitudes".

Buy this book, it will truly change your life and Zig and I will "See you at the TOP".

Thanks again Zig...!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great motivator by Zig, July 15, 2002
By
Ted Daniels (Jacksonville, FL) - See all my reviews
I bought See You at The Top back in 1980. The advice is timeless; self image, goal setting and attitude. Zig is one of the best motivational authors out there. Also recommend Zig Ziglar on Selling and Zig Ziglars Secrets of Closing the Sale.I previewed Zigs autobiogrophy recently at a Book store and was wholly dissappointed with it. Great tribute to a great man for sure, but not totally factual and didn't do anything for me so I didn't buy it.See You at The Top and Secrets of Closing Sales are great reads and belong in every success/sales achievers personal library.

5.0 out of 5 stars The cure for "Stinkin Thinkin" and "Hardening of the Attitudes.", September 26, 2005
By
I have to admit that I didn't initially like Zig Ziglar. He came across like a used car salesman, untill I really listened to his message.

Zig is funny, entertaining, motivating and when need be deadly serious. See You At The Top has been a best seller since 1975. I recently re-read this great book and felt recharged! Zig is awesome. While a lot of what he says is not new, it's worth getting a jolt once in awhile and to recharge your batteries. I recommend reading this book at least once per year.

5.0 out of 5 stars I was trekking toward Mt. Everest base camp......, May 13, 2001
By
S. Brockhaus (Arlington, Virginia) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Of all the bizarre places to find this book, I found it in the Himalayas, Nepal. I was on a one month trek to Mt. Everest's base camp with my university. In my zeal to pack lightly, I had no books with me. As I walked into Namche Bazaar, a major town on the path toward Base Camp, I stopped to look in a bookstore. Suprisingly, I found a paperback copy of this book. I was familliar with Zig, because my Dad has always been a big fan. Well, I figured what better time to read something motivational, then when I'm trying to trek to 18,000 feet.

I greatly enjoyed its motivational principles as I struggled through the daily challenges of living in tents and trying to stay healthy in high altitude situations. It kept me positive when things got rough and one fellow trekker had to be helicoptered out due to severe altitude problems. A positive mind-set was CRITICAL to me making it up to our goal of the peak of Kala Pattar, at 18,000 feet.

As a young person (22), I found the terminology in Zig's book a tad corny...but it's a minor detail. The principles are critical to success and should be taught in schools everywhere. Zig Ziglar's philosphies for success are right on target. This is a must read book. As Zig likes to say...it's great to seek motivation when you're "down"...but it's even better to seek motivation when you're "up" and successful...because then you can achieve unparralled heights. So don't assume you need to be in a slump to benefit from this book...it's even better if you're riding high. As Zig says..."Follow these principles...and I will...see YOU...at the top."

5.0 out of 5 stars The best book about "Attitude" available anywhere!, February 5, 1997
By A Customer
This book is the bible of motivational books. Without a doubt, a must for anyone. This book can help you have a positive mindset regardless of the negative's that you face in everyday life. The Zig Ziglar Corporation used this book to design a program taught in elementary schools, called "I Can." If you haven't had the opportunity to read this book, DO IT NOW!! John P. 4.0 out of 5 stars One of the best motivational books on the market., December 26, 1999
By
Adam Khan (Seattle, WA USA) - See all my reviews
(VINE VOICE)    (REAL NAME)
This is a big book, 384 pages, and Zig packs as much value as he can onto every page. There are many many practical tips, amusing illustrations, fantastic analogies, and motivating stories. The book has been through at least 28 reprintings. You can feel the refinement, the sifting out over the years of anything less than great, and the accumulated creme de la creme of Zig's long speaking career. Here is the best of Zig Ziglar.

He lays out his religiosity with a heavy hand, and that's the only reason his book doesn't rate five stars with me. But his principles for developing confidence, motivation and success are sound. It is enjoyable reading, and you will learn a lot about Zig himself. I'm the author of the book, Self-Help Stuff That Works, and I know what works. If you want to get motivated, this book will do the trick!
