If you buy a gospel DVD this year this is one to consider.

The choir sings briliiantly and the soloists are really good (especially the hymn 'Trust and Obey').

The sermons are inspirational and so are the songs.

The video quality is excellent. My only gripe is that there is no 5.1 or DTS encoding. PCM is so sub standard and for this price I would expect no less than 5.1 encoding. (Which is why I gave it four stars and not five)

MY SOUL WAS BLESSED TO WATCH THE T.D. JAKES AND THE POTTER HOUSE IN ACTION. THE SONGS WERE ANOINTED AND ARE IN SEASON OF WHAT GOD IS DOING ALL AROUND THE WORLD. MY FAVORITE SONG WAS "WHEN MY SEASON COMES!!!! THAT BRO. MYRON WILLIAMS BLESSED MY SOUL. ANYONE WHO BUYS THIS VIDEO WILL SURELY BE BLESSED.

As I sat and watch this DVD for the second time around, I put the DVD on "repeat" for the son "The Storm Is Over Now". Very emotionally charged song. The choir and soloist along with Bishop's intervention is simply very touching. It gets your soul higher and higher. Makes you believe Yes, The Storm Just Got To Go for good. Get this DVD. You will be glad you did.

Bishop TD Jakes is the leader of the Potters House sanctuary church in Dallas, Texas. This DVD features performances of the 130 voices of the Potters House Mass Choir led by Steve Lawrence, pumping out some glorious gospel music. Guest appearances by some special guest from the gospel superstar community (Donnie McClurkin, Beverly Crawford, D'Atra Hicks), and dancers. Of course Bishop Kakes makes a few appearances as well, and while brief he is always exciting. There is a variety of material here, and they mix it up to keep you interested. There are 11 tracks on the DVD. The quality of the production is A-1, and the quality and the sound of the DVD itself are very satisfactory.

There are some brief sermon excerpts and artist interviews. If you want to see more of T.D. Jakes, I also bought a DVD of his here called "A Wing and a Prayer", which is mostly sermon, and it has to be one of the most powerful messages I have ever seen. If you want to see more gospel concerts, I also recommend "The Rebirth of Kirk Franklin Live". And for a good movie about gospel music I recommend "Something to Sing About".
