The only novel I've ever read where really nothing ever happens. The characters are poorly developed as well. The leading man is supposedly a "rake" - we are told that many times - but we are only ever told that - never shown. I gave it two stars because it wasn't *bad* - I at least stuck with it and finished it; but there's nothing to recommend.
