Designed for surface or ground-in dirt, the Bissell Little Green ProHeat multipurpose cleaner uses hot water and a cleaning agent to remove stains from upholstery, carpet, car seats, and more. A compact and efficient unit, the 9 amp Little Green disperses and sucks up cleaning solution in one swipe of the nozzle. Shampoo and clean water are stored in individual compartments, while the dirty-water recovery tank is completely separate. Bissell's built-in heater (optional during use) keeps hot water heated for maximum cleaning power. The unit features a built-in 5-1/2-foot hose with a solution trigger and a tough-stain tool for stubborn spots. The hose wraps around the base when not in use, and the 20-foot power cord stores on quick-release side hooks. If you've read the majority of the reviews for this product you'll notice there is a consistent problem with the sprayer clogging and no longer working. Here's how to fix it. We originally bought the machine a year and a half ago and it quit spraying after only 2 uses. Bissell replaces it under warranty but the bad thing is that your "new" Little Green is only warranteed for the the rest of the time left on the original one you bought. Of course our replacement quit spraying as well until today when my husband figured out how to fix it. Get some liquid CLR Calcium Lime Rust Remover or Lime-Away product and pour straight into the clean water solution tank. Fill only to about 3/4 of an inch of the CLR in the tank, then turn on the Little Green and push the sprayer button. It will immediately begin spraying again. Let it sit for about 10 minutes, then run the rest of the CLR through. Then run through a tank or two of clean water. The problem is the phosphates in your water that clog the sprayer line. This should get rid of the clogs. I would also follow the advice of running through some clean water before storing your Little Green. Other than the sprayer problem the Little Green is very effective at carpet stains and cleaning.

My partner bought this for our office. We have area rugs over hardwood floors so we didn't need anything very big.

Her husband used it to clean the upholstry in his car and was quite enthusiastic. I used it on an area rug and thought it was only so-so. With no brush action it definitely doesn't deep clean, and while the heated water can be useful you have to be careful because hot water will set some organic stains.

The hose is only 5 1/2 feet long so expect to get on your knees for the carpet stains.

With those caveats, it does what it says, but I would be tempted to pay a little more and get the turbo brush model.

My parents recently got me one of these. I guess they thought I'd need it to go with my new puppy Max. The Little Green makes cleaning up Max's accidents a lot easier. I'm not sure what I would do without it. It's so light and easy to use. The tanks are simple to fill and empty, and it even has a heater to heat the water. Be sure to get some Bissell cleaning formula too becasue it does a great job and smells very fresh and clean.
