Fixing the Sprayer,
This review is from: Bissell 1425A Little Green ProHeat (Kitchen)
If you've read the majority of the reviews for this product you'll notice there is a consistent problem with the sprayer clogging and no longer working. Here's how to fix it. We originally bought the machine a year and a half ago and it quit spraying after only 2 uses. Bissell replaces it under warranty but the bad thing is that your "new" Little Green is only warranteed for the the rest of the time left on the original one you bought. Of course our replacement quit spraying as well until today when my husband figured out how to fix it. Get some liquid CLR Calcium Lime Rust Remover or Lime-Away product and pour straight into the clean water solution tank. Fill only to about 3/4 of an inch of the CLR in the tank, then turn on the Little Green and push the sprayer button. It will immediately begin spraying again. Let it sit for about 10 minutes, then run the rest of the CLR through. Then run through a tank or two of clean water. The problem is the phosphates in your water that clog the sprayer line. This should get rid of the clogs. I would also follow the advice of running through some clean water before storing your Little Green. Other than the sprayer problem the Little Green is very effective at carpet stains and cleaning.

My partner bought this for our office. We have area rugs over hardwood floors so we didn't need anything very big. Her husband used it to clean the upholstry in his car and was quite enthusiastic. I used it on an area rug and thought it was only so-so. With no brush action it definitely doesn't deep clean, and while the heated water can be useful you have to be careful because hot water will set some organic stains. The hose is only 5 1/2 feet long so expect to get on your knees for the carpet stains. With those caveats, it does what it says, but I would be tempted to pay a little more and get the turbo brush model.

My parents recently got me one of these. I guess they thought I'd need it to go with my new puppy Max. The Little Green makes cleaning up Max's accidents a lot easier. I'm not sure what I would do without it. It's so light and easy to use. The tanks are simple to fill and empty, and it even has a heater to heat the water. Be sure to get some Bissell cleaning formula too becasue it does a great job and smells very fresh and clean.

This Little Steam Cleaner Really Works,
By
This review is from: Bissell 1425A Little Green ProHeat (Kitchen)
With four dogs and 4 cats we needed something to keep our couch and area rugs looking nice. I was really suprised at how well this product worked! The colors in our couch look "new" again (with the build up of kitty hair-it had a look to it as if you were viewing it with a soft focus lens). It also did a respectible job on our area rugs. Considering the cost of this cleaner, I would say that it is an awesome buy for small cleaning jobs.

Upholstery and Spot Cleaning Machine`,
By
This review is from: Bissell 1425A Little Green ProHeat (Kitchen)
I had very poor experiences with early Bissell carper steamers- really cheap construction and they leaked everywhere. The compact Little Green line is an exception. Well sealed and easy to operate they are ideal for spot cleaning and upholstery- a must for those with pets and little kids who spill and make other kinds of more biological messes. Use the pet shampoo with it for top level cleaning. For general floor shampooing I rent the heavy duty shampooer from Home Depot for $20 every few months and shampoo my rugs using the recommended carper cleaner and a half cup of Tropical Gain laundry detergent. I find the laundry soap in the big machine is so far superior to any home unit I can buy that it is worth the trip to rent it.These little guys are great for little jobs- don't waste your time and money on the bigger ones though.

Little Green ProHeat + Puppy = Woo Hoo!,
By
This review is from: Bissell 1425A Little Green ProHeat (Kitchen)
OK So I bought this little baby before we got our puppy. I had bought it for the 2 cats that we have and thought it might come in handy for little messes. My wife bought me a puppy for Christmas, and since then I wll say that I thank myself every day for deciding to buy the Little Green. I have used it almost every day since our puppy arrived, and it works great! Takes out every stain that the little girl can throw at it (at trust me she has thrown a lot!). I wouldn't reccomend it for large surface area cleaning since it would take for ever and there would be a lot of work constantly filling the clean side and dumping the dirty side. But for those little messes, it works like a champ. Haven't had any problems or leaks, but I have only had this for a little over a month. So far it has been well worth what I paid!

Best Little Green Machine,
By
This review is from: Bissell 1425A Little Green ProHeat (Kitchen)
I've used other portable steamers in the past, and the Bissell Little Green Proheat is definately the best one I've purchased. I only wished I would have got one of these a couple of years ago. With three dogs and three cats this steamer gets used a lot.

Compact and Powerful,
By
This review is from: Bissell 1425A Little Green ProHeat (Kitchen)
I had been needing something compact but powerful enough to clean up small carpet and upholstery stains left by my 2 year old and my husband. I received another brand for Christmas, but didn't feel it would quite do the job. So I exchanged it for this model, and boy and I glad I did. It was easy to use and did a marvelous job with the small stains I have around the house. This model is great if you have occasional spots to clean, but don't expect it to clean entire rooms.

This is an excellent machine to have around the house for cleaning up after pets or anything else. It is nice and small and works very well for such a cheap unit. Also great for cleaning couches and the interrior of cars.

Bissell is the Best,
By
This review is from: Bissell 1425A Little Green ProHeat (Kitchen)
I have wall to wall carpets and 7 cats, who occasionally cough up hairballs, which for anyone who has cats will know, that can be somewhat messy. This is by far the best cleaning machine for carpets I have found. Much better than lugging out the big wet/dry vac for small spots. Thank you, Bissell. Job well done.
