I bought this to clean our apartment. I refused to pay for commercial cleaning services and looked at high end deep cleaners.
This one cleaned our carpets (after 1 year - several parties and lots of guests) and made it look just like the day we moved in.
This performed the job like commercial deep cleaners. I had to refill/discard the tank 4x --- as the capacity was only 1 gal. each for clean and dirty water. Well, I am very meticulous due to my allergies ... and our apartment is big.
This is relatively light, manuevarable and great value for money.
Not directly related complaint is the Bissell solutions are more expensive than others. Plus, their solutions are not as concentrated too. So, now I use a competing Hoover solution.

When I began using this cleaner I was very impressed with it's cleaning and ease of use. Unfortunatly within an hour, the belt broke (they shipped a replacement belt with the machine). After replacing the belt, it ran great for about 30 min. then the brush arm literally melted and rendered the machine unusable, requiring service. Now I have to deal with the hassle of replacing the part and can only hope the new part(s) will somehow not fail as well.

We used this shampooer in the kids dirty bedroom and it was Fantasic. I would buy this again if need be. The Bissel cleaner is kind of costly. I did notice Wal-Mart has thier own brand. Thinking of tring it. For the money you can't beat this shampooer.
Did as or better jpob then rug doctor. Did way better then the shop vac set up from sears. In short great buy.

This is my first steam vac and the carpet had never been cleaned since purchase. How brown was my water! This is a very light machine. [even lighter than my bissell vac] I had trouble with my trigger, the tool attachment worked but I had to call customer service to get the trigger working. I hope that's the only trouble I have.

This machine does exactly what it says. Wonderful, the floors were a wreck now all the carpet looks brand new.

So much in fact that when a friend came over they asked when we got new carpets.

The tools made it easy to do work on other things besides just the floor, pay the extra money and get this model.

This thing doesn't even deserve to call itself a steam cleaner, cause it makes no steam! This thing is pretty close to worthless, I have cleaned things with it but it's a painful and arduous process to do so. The best this thing really could be considered is a wetvacuum because it produces no heat of its own. Filling up the bucket is a pain, having to use a separate spray bottle because the builtin spraying mechanism cuts out intermittently and it just gets things too wet to be anywhere near effective. Not to mention the suction on it is fairly poor and I've only used this thing about 5 times total! I hate this thing! If you want a steam cleaner, get something else, this thing is NOT worth anywhere NEAR $250.. Maybe $30..
