5.0 out of 5 stars Does a nice job
This particular item has been a life saver for me. I have two pets that have messy shredded aspen bedding and pet hair that gets outside of the cage a lot. It tends to clog vacuums. This product picks it up well with no clogging. It picks up other small messes also. It takes a little effort though, sweeping back and forth. Still think its worth not ruining the vacuum.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not worth the box it comes in
I have wanted an inexpensive "old-fashioned" sweeper for quick cleanups around my carpeted dinig area. Unfortunately, I got what I paid for. This sweeper starts expelling what it has JUST picked up very quickly, making it VERY frustrating! The weight is so light that it doen's work well unless you REALLY push down on it. 5.0 out of 5 stars Bissell Sweep up, November 13, 2008
By
This is a great alternative for anyone who cannot really afford to buy a vaccuum and all the bags, filters, belts, cleaning tools, and other things needed to use a vaccum cleaner. I started using Bissell sweepers in college. They last a good while. I even use the spray foam cleaners in the can and after the foam dries I use the sweeper it works well. Its great for quick clean ups and it is also good for a good thorough cleaning. Its good on bare floors but I think it works best on all types of carpets. They have a new version that is more expensive and its shaped different. Its more square. The handle keeps coming off and to keep the it in place I had to have a friend glue it with cement glue. It works well but for a bigger price I would expect it to be put together at least as good as the bissell sweeper but it is not. I won't say that it is not a good sweeper it is, but I prefer the Bissell sweep up. I love Bissell products I have several of their sweepers, vaccuums, carpet steamers, and ulpholstery cleaners. I love their products because they are light weight and work well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sweeper is Handy, October 6, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This sweeper makes for quick and easy clean up. I have a very furry pet and it is such a hassle to pull out the big vacuum several times a day; so this light weight sweeper comes in very handy for me because it picks up the clumps of dog fur quickly. It also quickly picks up pieces of dog food, etc., left on the kichen floor. The other thing I like is that the sweeper comes with a brush comb to easily keep the bottom brushes clean. This sweeper is a good product and is a low price.

4.0 out of 5 stars Decent product, December 24, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
At first this product picked up a bunch of dirt and cat hair. It took minutes instead of longer with a vacuum and no cord to worry about. About two weeks after we started using it, the middle roller brush fell out and hasn't stayed in very well since. We get a few sweeps and then have to put it back in. We think it's a fault with the manufacturing. The metal prongs that attach to the sides of the box (from the handle) are what keeps the middle roller brush in place and if you press too hard with the handle, they push out, therefore dropping the roller brush. Also you have to sweep with the Bissell logo away from you (on the front) or the brush falls out more often. Overall, it's an ok product for the money you spent. We only sweep a small area and I wouldn't suggest using this product for extensive sweeping.

5.0 out of 5 stars What a Relief!, August 6, 2008

It is wonderful not to have to drag out the vacuum every day for small debris on my carpets. This inexpensive sweeper picks up all my tracked in bits of leaves and dirt effortlessly. I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Growing up my mom had one of these sweepers and I remember it working well and saving us the trouble of dragging out the vacuum. So I ordered this one and it's totally worthless. I have 2 long haired cats and a dog with average length hair and this thing won't pick up any of it. This might work if you have a small place and no animals, but if you have some, buy something else.

This sweeper works just great for my large area rug that the kids drop crumbs on. The rug is dark brown and shows every speck. Grabbing this sweeper is so much easier than hauling out the vacuum. For small jobs like kitchen patio carpet and kid carpet it's the answer. Great price, too.

4.0 out of 5 stars deep cleans, December 21, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Bissell 2100 Sweeper (Kitchen)
I loved this bissel sweeper, excellent product for such a low price. extremely handy, perfect for small spaces but I have used it to clean the whole house. It deep cleans by picking up hair and dust that even a regular vaccuem leaves behind. I have used it for two months, I use it as I often as I need it for quick picker ups. recommended improvements would be to make stronger brushes but it still works beautifully with the ones it comes with. I normally avoid writing reviews but this product makes life a little bit easier, I would recommend it for all college students and for quick bedroom cleaning and for anyone else. It does not need to be plugged in, no batteries required, and no noise involved. environmentally friendly. I hope this helps.

I bought this so that I did not have to pull out my vacuum cleaner. I have a cat and the litter gets everywhere. I use this to pick up the cat litter and it is great. Does exactly as described
