3.0 out of 5 stars Better than the Boss Lite
I have been very pleased with my switch from the Boss Lite to the Bissell Go-Vac. It's great on my wood floors as well as on our berber carpet on the stairs. The only place it's not effective is in the kitchen with our Mexican tile. This tile is not a flat smooth surface and the grout lines are thick so particles aren't picked up well on this surface. As my upstairs...

for the price, you can't find a better cordless vac on the market. It's hard to find, of course, because vendors are looking to sell you inferior similar products for as much as $..., and they don't work as well as this vac does. Its cordless, its compact, it picks up almost anything, including pet hair, hay, dirt, crumbs from any type of floor, rugs, linoleum, tile and woodflooring. the collection cup comes on/off easily, replacement filters won't break the bank, and you will be amazed at how much this tiny little vac picks up!!
I have 2 housetrained rabbits, everyday i use the vacuum to pick up hay, fur and of course crumbs from around the table, and it does a great job. it can fit into corners, under almost anything, and is very manuverable and lightweight.
It doesn't make a lot of noise compared to bigger vac's, so it doesn't scare pets when used around them. The charge lasts almost 30 minutes, that's enough time to vacuum a large living room, kitchen, foyer den..and two large rabbit condos that have carpeting in them, and there is alot of charge left in it....
The only thing negative is after a while the carbon chips come out of the filter, but this is not a big deal. I've had mine now for 2 yrs, the same battery, it is still going strong.
It makes a great gift, too! Everyone i bought it for loves it!
they also bought it for a gift, so it's definately popular..
Don't buy an expensive alternative, like the shark, the whirlpool model, or anyother cordless vac that costs more, you will be disappointed and waste your money....
This is a great little vacuum, for the price, you can't beat it. Retail stores don't carry it, they want you to buy the more pricey models they have, don't settle for second best!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Big Birthday Hit!, November 11, 2002
My wife and I bought this little vacuum for our next door neighbor's little girl's birtday party. A week later they are reporting that it is a big hit. She loves Barbie anyway and this little vac actually does a great job picking up stuff in her room. Apparently the floor cleaning has led to a new found pride in her room and she is actually putting away toys and cleaning like never before. I know, I know, let's see how long it lasts, but as long as it does, 5 Starts Bissell! What a great idea!

5.0 out of 5 stars This is a MUST HAVE!, July 24, 2002

This review is from: Bissell 3300 Go Vac Deluxe Cordless Sweeper (Kitchen)
Let me preface this by saying that I am by no means Martha Stewart and the thought of housework in general fills me with dread. But with 3 cats who shed enough hair that I can knit sweaters for all my family members, (I haven't, yet,) and a 16 month old who's favorite new hobby is throwing food, we needed something that was cordless, lightweight and really WORKED! I LOVE THIS VACUUM CLEANER! It's wonderful on the kitchen floor, the hardwood floors, the industrial carpeting in the playroom, the deep pile carpet in the bedrooms, great for the stairs. It's got a good bit of power for such a lightweight little thing. It's sucked up ground in cheerios, smushed peas from last night's dinner, dust bunnies galore, and the best part is...The handle detaches so you can do your furniture and anything else you need to get to. No fussing with different attachments, just pop the handle off and keep going! The Go Vac has worked on my textured cloth vertical blinds which were covered in cat hair from my cats rubbing against them. Not even our heavy duty vaccuum was able to get that off! I love how lightweight it is, even my son is able to push it around on the carpeting! This vaccuum has made my housework SO much easier and quicker to do, I highly recommend it!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great For Quick And Dirty Clean-Ups, August 16, 2002

(HALL OF FAME REVIEWER)    (REAL NAME)
This review is from: Bissell 3300 Go Vac Deluxe Cordless Sweeper (Kitchen)
Anyone who has four Labrador Retrievers knows all about how quickly one's carpets and rugs can be deluged by hair and dander, especially now, in peak shedding season. Seems I am up to my ears in dog hair on almost a daily basis. That's why I resort to a quick treatment of the main traffic areas in the downstairs living area every evening before settling down to read or watch the news. And although the dogs were wary of the unit at first, they now tolerate it quite well, and the youngest dog actually ignores it unless it is creeping toward her as she lays on the couch.

Indeed, this cordless sweeper is ideal for touch-up cleaning, since it is an ultra-lightweight, 156-watt vacuum with a built-in charging base for cordless operation, and the sweeper also quickly converts to a handheld vacuum for cleaning stairs, or upholstery, and gets into those hidden corneres quite well. It has the additional feature of being a bagless system, having a twist-on dust cup. One pushes a button to pull out the handle, which converts the Go Vac to handheld mode. To turn on the power, one lowers the handle from the vertical position. Assembly is simple, requiring virtually no tools. The unit also features a one-year warranty against defects.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cool Versatile Vac & Excellent Customer service, January 7, 2005
This review is from: Bissell 3300 Go Vac Deluxe Cordless Sweeper (Kitchen)
I bought this little thing about 3 months ago for my new 2-bedroom apartment. After a one-week online research on powerful & affordable vacuum cleaners, I chose Bissell 3300 Go Vac for it's good price, size, cordless and power features most reviewers mentioned. It arrived only 3 days later after I placed an order at Amazon. I spent 5-10 minustes assembling it--the process is really easy! To my great surprise, it was charged and I accidently pushed the handle so it worked for about 10 minutes on my carpet even before I was ready^_* Not sure if it was used by others before my purchase, I emailed BISSELL Consumer Services and got their reply the next day. They told me that the vacuum will come with charge to the battery. Several days later I asked some questions about the charge of battery and again they replied very quickly.

Now I use Go Vac almost once a week for regular house clean and whenever a quick clean needed before any guests coming. It always does a great job. 12-minute running time after a full charge is totally enough for my 2-bedroom apartment (mainly carpet, bathrooms and kitchen vinyl, doorway rug). My husband even used it as a hand vac for our cars---clean, clean, clean! I love it more and more!

Pros:
- powerful: it sucks almost everything
- cordless: very easy to push it all around
- versatile: with or without handle, in house or in car
- bagless: farewell expensive filters or bags
- small: store it in any corner
- service: very friendly and quick Bissell customer servive

Cons:
- you have to control charget time yourself since the red light always stays on
- you have to clean the rotating brush often if you have long hairs otherwise it cannot run smoothly
- you have to empty the dust cup often if your place is most carpeted

5.0 out of 5 stars Love it!, November 28, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Bissell 3300 Go Vac Deluxe Cordless Sweeper (Kitchen)
I love this little sweeper-vac! My 4-year-old son, who drops crumbs under the table every time he eats, happily vacuums the dining area after each meal with the Go Vac; he wouldn't be able to handle a big vacuum cleaner, and a Dustbuster is awkward in his little hands--he thinks the Go Vac is fun and very easy to use. My husband does "quickie" vacuums in the family room with the Go Vac without even being asked; and I use it in virtually every room of the house (and the car) between thorough cleanings with the big vacuum cleaner. It's very easy to empty out, holds a nice charge for most light jobs, and vacuums both carpet and tile very well.

3.0 out of 5 stars impossible to clean, November 6, 2003
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Bissell 3300 Go Vac Deluxe Cordless Sweeper (Kitchen)
I loved this little vacuum at first. It picked up everything from cheerios to dog fur. then after a few months it wasn't picking up so well, so I tried to clean it. You can't disassemble any of the parts to clean, so I tried to remove as much hair from the brush and wheels as I could with a razor. It just doesn't work as well anymore. I'm going to try another brand.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great design but limited for some uses, December 4, 2002
This review is from: Bissell 3300 Go Vac Deluxe Cordless Sweeper (Kitchen)
I have to say, I love the design of this little cordless vac. It is light as a feather, the charger is compact and easy to stow in a pantry, which is where we keep it. The dust cup is easy to remove and clean out. Having a long handle is more comfortable than bending down with a hand vac. It works well on crumbs and flour on a bare floor but does NOT pick up kitty litter. And our cat kicks that stuff like a 300-pound bully kicking sand in the face of a row of 90-pound weaklings.

It seems less powerful than a Dustbuster-- more suction power would have helped this to be more useful. Still sweeping that kitty litter with a dustpan and whisk, sadly.

TWAA (STATEN ISLAND, NEW YORK United States) - See all my reviews
MY DAUGHTER LOVE'S IT AND SO DO I. IT MAKES KEEPING HER ROOM CLEAN MORE FUN AND LESS OF A CHORE. EVEN WHEN SHE IS RUNNING IT JUST TO PLAY SHE IS CLEANING. IT IS VERY STURDY AND IT PICKS UP JUST LIKE A REGULAR VACUM CLEANER. IT IS DEFFINATELY WORTH THE MONEY.
