5.0 out of 5 stars good replacemnt for the mop
After 3 years of usage my steam started leaking water and got my floor very wet. I thought I might need a new mop but after I changed the filter, the problem's fixed. Just remember always use distilled water, it will last longer.

3.0 out of 5 stars For Filter's sake, follow directions......
Have had the Bissell steam mop for about 6 months now and am pleased with it's performance, except cleaning grout. We have city (hard) water, but I decided to use it instead of distilled water due to cost. I use tap water right out of our heated spout (for tea) and plug the mop in and go. I mop weekly, and all was well until about a month ago. I accidentally left water in...

I accidentally left water in the mop container, haven't mopped in 3-4 weeks, (back to school busy)and PHEW!! Mildew grew in the filter and the whole house STUNK like mildew when I used the mop. But the filter has lasted 6 months. But when they say "Empty out the water between moppings", FOLLOW DIRECTIONS!! Oh, and my mop heads are wearing out. I, too have ceramic tile (HATE IT!!!!)and the rough grout wears out the pad. Steam cleaner doesn't clean the grout well, by the way....I have to be satisfied that I steamed it, so it's sanitary, if not pretty.

4.0 out of 5 stars An Important Part, February 4, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

I have the Bissell steam cleaner mop and this is the filter you need to use for this product. It is easy to install, does a good job, and you need to replace it when the time is due. The only negative thing is that it is rather expensive, considering the cost of the steam mop. After only 4 or 5 filter changes, you have paid for another mop.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works great with my Bissell 1867-7 Steam Mop, September 10, 2010

Changing filters was easy, and it was easy to tell by the color change from green to grayish/black that a change was needed. Also my mop seems to make weird noises when the filter is bad, I don't know if anyone else has noticed that.

It is recommended you change the filter when it is used up or you can do permanent damage to your machine.

I also have found that using a tiny bit of vinegar in the water tank keeps all the internal workings clean and mold free.

The filter just pulls up and off and the new one just snaps right in place and the water tank goes on top. Couldn't be more simple.

I recently had a new duraceramic floor installed and I wanted an easier way of cleaning the floor.I have been researching for a steamer and decided that we had a bissell floor scrubber when I was growing up,so I purchased the Bissell steamer and it is so amazing. No rinse,no chemicals and the floor drys in no time at all what more could you want. The only thing I would do while I purchased over the line is that I would buy extra filters with the steamer.

4.0 out of 5 stars Bissell Steam Mop Pads, October 30, 2008

The product does what it claims. The only thing I would note, however, is that if you have a very hard floor, such as porcelain tile, eventually the pads will get holes where the steam comes out from rubbing against such a rough surface.

Item arrived on time. Unfortunately the stand inside the filter had leaked out of the filter and filled the plastic bag and box. Item was not eligible for replacement, so I opted for returnand refund. I am trying to locate one locally or will try another vendor on Amazon.

I've purchased a total of four of these from Amazon on two separate occasions. All 4 were leaking horribly. The last ones that came were almost empty by the time they got to my door.

This filter arrived with the crystals falling out of the packaging box! The original filter that came with my steam mop was more like a solid pack. I even called the Bissel company to see if this was ok. They told me it was not. I returned the item for a refund.
