4.0 out of 5 stars Great product
I bought this cleaner a week ago. I have two large dogs and although it is not one of the bissel pet specific cleaners, it worked fine. I was amazed at how easy you can take it apart to clean it. I bought this specific one because it does carpets and floors and was $50-$100 cheaper than the other bissels. I like it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Broken on second use
It worked great the first time I used it. The second time, however, I found that it wasn't spraying water/shampoo from the bottom, but the hand held sprayer worked fine.

I followed the troubleshooting procedures as outlined in the manual with no success.

It worked great the first time I used it. The second time, however, I found that it wasn't spraying water/shampoo from the bottom, but the hand held sprayer worked fine.

I followed the troubleshooting procedures as outlined in the manual with no success.

I called Bissell customer service who had me clean out the little spray heads. That did not work.

After a little internet research I discovered that I was not the only person with this problem. It turns out that it may be a broken solenoid valve. A broken solenoid valve after the first use. THE FIRST USE. Sadly, the nearest Bissell approved service center is nearly an hour away. That's almost 4 hours (there and back twice) that I have to take off of work to take this BRAND NEW $[...] hunk of plastic crap to get repaired.

It is very likely I will NEVER purchase a Bissell product again.

1.0 out of 5 stars Do Not Buy This!!!!, August 30, 2009

I too bought this steam cleaner. It worked great the first two times. Today I went to use it and no luck. The water/shampoo isn't coming out. And of course the Bissell.com site is down and their customer service isn't open on Sundays. HELLO isn't the weekend when people clean their homes?

I bought this machine twice. The first time, after it stopped working after a year of biweekly use, I thought it was a fluke. Bought a second machine, same problem (water won't dispense). Am now looking at a Hoover, instead. Save your money, it's a pricey investment with little return.

1.0 out of 5 stars Do not buy this Bissell product!, February 22, 2011
This review is from: Bissell ProHeat 2X Upright - 9200T (Kitchen)
I bought this cleaner a couple of years ago for over $200 and I am very displeased.

It worked about 5 times to clean large areas and was able to get the carpet fairly clean. After that the water/cleaner mixture began to have difficulty dispensing on the carpet. It seemed to loose its prime easily and become clogged while dispensing liquid or only dispensing water or cleaner, but not both. I believe it is the heater that becomes clogged with hard water deposits.

Unfortunately, that is not the only problem.

The valves that connect the cleaner tank and main water tank to the unit fall apart causing a large mess. The problem is with the "x-valve" plunger that opens and closes the valves when removing and attaching the tanks. Somehow they become loose and fall out, dumpung water or cleaner all over the unit or floor.

Overall this machine is a waste of quite a bit of money and is a poorly made and engineered product that seems to be dubiously designed by Bissell for "planned obsolescence".

Do not buy this.

1.0 out of 5 stars Leaks water, May 1, 2010
This review is from: Bissell ProHeat 2X Upright - 9200T (Kitchen)
From the first time I used this machine it leaked some water when you turned it off. I had to turn it off over the tile so I could wipe up the dirty water that leaked every time you use it. Now it leaks dirty water when you are using the machine as well as when you power off. I wouldn't recommend this machine to anyone.

4.0 out of 5 stars A great value for me, October 11, 2009
This review is from: Bissell ProHeat 2X Upright - 9200T (Kitchen)
My wife bought the machine about 18 months ago. We use it a LOT with 2 teenagers and 3 dogs. We use it in the vehicles and quite a bit throughout the house. We definitely got our money's worth. A couple days ago my wife was shampooing and complained that the water would not shut off. I took the unit apart, disconnected the solenoid valve electrically and the machine is still spraying water. I just ordered a new solenoid for $23. Disappointing to see so many had problems with their machine early on, but ours has been a great value.
