5.0 out of 5 stars Bissell Pet Hair Broom is AMAZING
Bissell Smart Details Pet Hair Broom

I have 2 dogs and a cat, all hardwood floors with tile in the kitchen and bathroom.
I have even stooped to lint rollering the entire floor space or using rubber gloves to clean the floor of the pet hair............Never again will I have to stoop and break my back. This Broom is unbelievable. It even sweeps off...

Don't have much to say. It seems like just a broom, and a short, heavy one at that. Nothing against it, but it's definitely over-hyped. I didn't see the center part attracting hair any more than an ordinary broom from the grocery store would have. It's oddly short, as well, although long enough, it feels a tad awkward. It may last longer than other brooms since it has the heavy-duty center part, but don't know that for certain.

I haven't tried it on carpet. I will keep it, because it's fine and works as a broom, but I wouldn't recommend buying it over any other household broom.

I have even stooped to lint rollering the entire floor space or using rubber gloves to clean the floor of the pet hair............Never again will I have to stoop and break my back. This Broom is unbelievable. It even sweeps off the area rug. I am so excited. It is not heavy and washable. No flying hair. It has an adjustable handle which works great on air vents and the ceiling fan. It is also awesome for cob webs in corners and ceiling. I also love the Dyson Pet Vaccum, but it is ackward to have to drag out every day. This little broom gives the pets and me the convenience we deserve. Thank you Bissell

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Broom I've Ever Owned, August 15, 2011

Despite the relatively high cost of this broom, it is certainly an item you will want to own.

The broom has innovations which make sweeping easier and more efficient. There are two set of thick synthetic bristles with a third rubber finger broom. The rubber broom is sndwhiched between the two sets of bristles. This allows very thorough pick up of all manner of debris. Pet hair and fine dust are captured with one pass. With this broom, you don't use a normal back and forth sweeping action. One glide of the broom with full contact on the surface catches everything. When sweeping into the dustpan, one sweep gets it all in, rather than the multiple sweeps it takes a normal broom to get the job done. The addition of more and varied material in the broom head actually creates a broom which requires much less physical labor for the user. I have bad pain in my neck, back and shoulder, including a neck fusion. This broom allows me to use less sweeping action which is easier on my joints. The difference is noticeable.

The broom's handle allows the bristles or rubber fingers to rotate position. One twist and you may create an all rubbber broom or an all bristle broom, or a combination of the two. This proves useful for sweeping thick pet hair, or a damp mess which is better served with the rubber nubs. I usually use all bristles extended because I find it does the most thorough job. Incidentally, we own two long hair cats and this picks up every last bit from stairs, corners, sofas, and most importantly, from the seats of our fabric covered kitchen chairs.

A hanging hook allows for storgage, and a strong aluminum handle ensures a steady sweep which will not bend, flex or break. Granted, all these features make for a heavier broom, yet it is so efficient compared to a regular broom, you won't be expending as much energy overall despite the extra weight. I actually don't notice that it is a little heavier after a couple of uses.

The broom's rubber end knob also prevents it from sliding down the wall if you decide to take a rest. Similarly, it doesn't have paint that will mark surfaces. I've had red paint from old brooms mark up a wall pretty badly if I didn't pay attention and propped the broom on the wall, only to have it slide, mark the wall, and bang on the hardwood floor.

Keep in mind that the broomstick won't accomodate a snap on dustpan, or at least mine don't fit. It really isn't a problem. On the plus, the broom can be rinsed and sanitized in the sink easily, even after every use, so there is no worry of growing and spreading bacteria throughout your home every time you clean. I find that especially important when cleaning bathrooms. I wouldn't want that debris spread to my kitchen.

I have tile floors and two very hairy dogs. The broom works great. My straw broom was always losing straws but this broom is sturdy and gets the hair out of the corners and crevices. It hangs onto it until I can get it into the dustpan or trash. I love this broom.

I have a mix of several types of uncarpeted floors and a few throw rugs. And two cats and the amazing shedding dog: long, wavy blond hairs. The broom doesn't do a better job for me than any other type. The rubber bristles do not "attract the pet hair like a magnet." In fact the pet hair kind of blows away in front of it, stirred up, as with any other broom, by the air currents caused by the sweeping.

I bought my first one of these at Kohl's when they still had them in stock. They work fantastic at sweeping up cat hairs, a lot better than a regular broom. I had to order my second one from Amazon as Kohl's doesn't stock them anymore. If you have pets, it's well worth the extra bucks as it grabs all the pet hairs the first time you sweep.

3.0 out of 5 stars Mine broke after a month.., November 29, 2011

When it was intact, it worked very well. The middle piece just fell out of mine and I can't get it to stay back in. A small plastic bracket piece is broken, I can tell by looking, and that's why it won't stay back in. So I have just been using it as a regular broom, and it still works very well. The difference is now the broom doesn't retain the dog hair, I have to use a dust pan. Not a huge deal, because it really does still get most of the dog hair but it broke too quickly and for no apparent reason.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good little broom, February 19, 2011
This review is from: Bissell Smart Details Pet Hair Broom, 26R2A (Kitchen)
Saw this broom at Target it was the only one left and it had a $5 coupon on it so i feel it was meant for me. This works well on getting rid of hair on carpets and also the debris left on the carpet. It is also good on picking up feathers that shed from my bird something that always was a pain in the neck with a ordinary broom and vacuum. This is better to use to clean up pet hair then a vacuum which you have to keep emptying the canister all the time and ruins the vacuum. I would recomend you go to a Hardware place and buy one of those big dust pans with a long handle that way you don't have to bend down to scoop up the hair to put in the trash. It cost me like $13 years ago but is worth every penny it cuts your sweeping time in half.

I bought this to use at work in our veterinary clinic. It does just what I was hoping for. Grabs the hair instead of it floating off behind you! I would strongly recommend this to anyone that has pets and floors!
