This book introduced me to Edmund Wilson and I haven't been able
to appreciate literary chronicles before this one, to think that he wrote this book so long ago, but writes with such ease it is a simple read, even for a young person like me. I heard of Edmund Wilson when he wrote about a great early 20th century poet, Edna St. Vincent Millay.
