Bit by the Buy,
This review is from: Bit by the Bug (Paperback)
Kat Matthews, a starving artist photographer, is stunned when she is propositioned by a rich couple while on vacation in Vale, Colorado. Yet when they throw out the lure of an exclusive interview and show with one of New York's most prestigious galleries, she's also interested. How hard could it be? All she has to do is date their nerdy sounding son and at the same time help him to be a better date after she's gone. Easy, right? Until she actually meets Dr. Vincent Richmond, then things really get interesting.
Once again I am amazed at Ms. Pillow's writing ability. Not only is she able to tell a wonderful story with Bit by the Bug, she also brings it to life. The characters are vibrant and realistic and almost leap off the page. Kat and Vincent are so opposite that it's really surprising how well they compliment each other. Their relationship sizzles just below the surface as Vincent deals with his shyness and Kat with her guilt over taking the job. Once they acknowledge their feelings and act upon them though, the story really heats up. Vincent really comes out of his shell and shows a truly sexy side that surprised and delighted me. Several interesting secondary characters also liven up this truly fantastic story, paving the way for future books. I'd love to discover what happens with Kat's four sisters. If you're looking for a fun-filled, sizzling story, pick up Bit by the Bug and enjoy. Georgia reviewed for Joyfully Reviewed

What's Not To Love?,
By
This review is from: Bit by the Bug (Paperback)
Folks if you haven't read any of Michelle Pillow's books you're missing out. She writes across several genres and kicks butt at all of them. Bit By The Bug is a contemporary erotic romance that doesn't fail to entertain.
Pillow gives us a fabulously intellectual hero (oh how I love smart men) who's geeky and sexy all at once (not done enough and geeks are so sexy) and a smart, silly and warm heroine. Their chemistry is wonderful and tangible and the story is heartwarming as well as funny. I loved the interactions between Kat and her sisters and also, the reality of what it's like to be a working person who's trying to make her dreams come true.

This book has a little bit of everything,

i found this book very refreshing to read and it seem to have a little bit of everything, i laughed ALOT, i worried, i rolled my eyes over the antics of the hero.
Michelle Pillow seemed to have the wonderful ability to make me fall completely in love with both the heroine and the hero and to follow all the twists and turns of the relationship and the heroines complete confusion on how to deal with a absent minded professor. i usually dont review much but i decided to for this book, it really was quiet different from all the other things i have been reading lately and the characters a truely charming i dare you to read it and not fall in love with them, im definately going to collect the series

Not the bug you would imagine - but a good one!,

Another good book for Pillow. As a fan of her Dragon Lords and Lords of the Var Series, I think this series is going to be great.
Kat Matthews is on vacation with her mother. She has a meeting with an elder couple who has hired her to "date" her son in exchange for her big dream as a photographer. Their son is a "bug" scientist and never gets out in the real world. There is a twist to the contract though-Kat has to get Dr. Vincent Richmond to ask her out, she cannot. Kat eventually takes a job with him and tensions are high. She fantisizes about him all the time as well as he. But both do they know that they are each equally attracted to one another and they think the other dislikes them. How is she going to get him to ask her? She consoles with her sisters and family. Is there anything that comes between them? Does she leave her job? What about her sisters, does one of them become attracted to him? Do Kat and doc fall in love? You have to read the novel to get the answers you need. There are some really hot scenes in this book that will leave you wanting more.

I bought the book based on the other recommendations. It sounded promising but the story did nothing for me. I didn't really care for the characters and the writing did not draw me in....no real emotion. I read alot of romance type books but not ones actually labeled "erotic" but if this is an example of the genre than I think I'll pass. I have to say I've read much better stories from other regular romance writers (gibson, anderson, shalvis, crusie, day etc etc.)

I found this book very enertaining...humores, and emotional. Michelle did a great job in catching your attention and making you laugh, roll your eyes, and anticipate for what was to come.
After you read this book it makes you want to read the next book on the next sister. It was very good and I would recomend it to anyone that likes humor and romance. |
