I've built a few PC's in my day, and I have to say, this little mini-itx "Mac Pro" look-alike case is by far the most thought out, gorgeous, and useful case I've ever owned. There are so many neat little design cues inside this thing that it makes building a mini-itx PC from what once was a chore, to something enjoyable. There is cable routing, multiple hard drive slots, plenty of fan mounting areas, spacious room for a nice beefy GPU - and I mean beefy, like up to 12", and the overall design is fantastic. I am somewhat of an Apple fan, but I love PC gaming, so this case is a nice midway between the two.

TLDR version: This is a well thought out, well laid out, capacious, and all around solid vehicle for a mini-itx build all enclosed in a beautiful designed chassis. Plus it's under a 100 bucks. Very good deal IMO. Get it!

I bought this case because it was $10 off and I couldn't pass it up. I have been looking in to this case for a while and i have to say I love it! It has a nice design that allows you better and more safe access to the motherboard and all other parts, making this a must buy for your PC build. Also NOTE: Do not buy a Micro ATX motherboard and try and put it in this Mini ITX case. It will NOT work. I had to return my motherboard at one point because i didn't see that :)

My friend bought this for a computer I built for him. Not my choice but here are my thoughts on this case.

pros: It looks nice very pleasing on the eyes. Lots of room for large cpu coolers ( we used a master cooler evo which fit with plenty of room). The thumb screws are easy to use and the one that has a sliding lock for your pci cards was easy to use. It also has good air flow and keeps things cool enough.

cons: for starters the door you use to access everything has your usb, led and power/reset wires attached to it which makes access very annoying ( many times I have wanted to destroy this case for this reason as it drives me crazy when attempting to troubleshoot anything with the motherboard). If you plan on using the top fans you have to sacrifice your disc drive slot to use two. The heat plate on the bottom is held by magnets and it falls off incredibly easy. The plastic bars that you use to move it and that is sits on feel like they would snap easily but if you're careful that shouldn't be an issue. There is essentially no cable management at all so it was hard to make it look pleasing inside the case.

other thoughts: The issue with the front panel being wired to the mobo is enough for me to not recommend this case to anyone that ever wants to open their case to show off or to have ease of access for upgrades. It feels fairly sturdy except for the long plastic bars it uses for feet and handles and was relatively easy to put together so it's not a bad case by any means just not something I can give a lot of stars to.

Only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because a rivet missed the motherboard mount, so it was crooked. I only found this out after mounting everything in the case and it wouldn't line up. I didn't want to send it back, so I drilled through the rivet and used a screw, all better. The other issue is, I bought this to make a hackintosh instead of buying a Mac trash can. My plan was, and is, to haul it around. But be warned the edges on the handles are VERY sharp. I ended up buying a little dolly, which worsk.

Case arrived with all 4 mounting points on the left side for the handles broken. Opened a ticket with Bitfenix for warranty repair, their website states 2 business days for response, it have been 7 business days and no response at all. I really don't want to have to deal with returning this but don't see as I have any choice due to Bitfenix's failure to provide any customer service.

This is perhaps the best iteration of the mini-ITX form factor - not only does it provide an excellent amount of space for larger video cards and closed-loop cooling, it has great airflow and looks fantastic.

Given that you can take out HDD drive bays allows you to really expand the amount of workable space that you have, and the areas in which you can place SSD's are such so that they will be out of the way (in the right case panel).

Works great. I installed an ASRock Z77E-ITX motherboard with an Intel i5-3570 CPU and a Corsair H100i liquid cooler. This case is awesome for these components. Cooling is great in this case. I am using the 230mm pro BitFenix fan (optional) for cooling the case with the stock 120mm fan for the rear exhaust. While gaming, my mobo never gets hotter than 35 degrees C and my GPU never gets hotter than 57 degrees C. Fantastic! It's easy to carry too with the double handles on top.

I only have 2 gripes about this case. 1) Installing a CPU cooler, due to the low clearance, can be a problem. I could not install the CM Hyper 212 EVO that I wanted too. There wasn't enough room. (It worked out for me in the end though because I am glad I went with the liquid cooler. Even a liquid cooler like that is quiet in the BitFenix Prodigy case). 2) Installing a 160mm power supply is difficult. I did it, but you need to make sure that you either have a non-modular PSU or a modular PSU that has all the plugs you need off to the one side. If you have plugs in the middle of the face of your PSU, you won't have clearance to fit the PSU fully in the case. I had to do some serious struggling to get the PSU installed and screwed in place.

If you can deal with these 2 issues, then this case is for you. I highly recommend it. I love Prodigy case.
