It's Going Down, April 12, 2008
This review is from: The Bitch is Back (Triple Crown Publications Presents) (Paperback)
The Bitch is Back by Deja King is the third installment of the Bitch series and still has Precious Mills (nee Cummings) getting down for what she believes.
Living lavishly with her music mogal husband, Supreme, and their infant daughter, Aaliyah, all of Precious' dreams had come true. Her fairytale world began to crumble when she was informed that Aaliyah had been abducted at a park while with her nanny, Anna. Though Precious appeared to have tamed her wild ways, the kidnapping reawakened the beast her followers once knew as she hunted for her daughter; she was out for blood. Her anger heightened when she found out her rapist, who was supposed to be incarcerated, may have had Aaliyah.
Knowing her daughter's fate was in her hands, Precious was propelled to lie to her husband, lash out at those who genuinely cared for her, and reached out to Nico, who previously attempted to kill her. How could such a wonderful world become hell without warning? It can happen when you couple unresolved conflicts with greed and the creativity of Deja King.
The Bitch is back delivered on its title. While Precious still donned the softer side she had in the series' second installment, Bitch Reloaded, she no doubt lets us know that she still has it in her. The author did a great job of incorporating the characters back stories so the novel works well as a stand-alone. I loved the emotional conflict Precious had over Nico because of its realism, but I was a bit disappointed with the dialogue toward the end of the story. I felt they were too detailed, but to give an example would spoil the plot. Hopefully, Deja King will drop the fourth installment as soon as possible. The cliffhanger ending was totally unexpected, but I am not quite sure if Precious has enough steam to captivate readers one more time...or can she?

'Now ain't that 'bout a BEATCH...', May 8, 2008
This review is from: The Bitch is Back (Triple Crown Publications Presents) (Paperback)
Deja has once more and again brought Precious back with even more mind-blowing drama up in the mix! Precious has found a comforting, passionate, and fulfilling love with Supreme and Aaliyah, the picture perfect family. But, when you harbor as grimy and sinister a past as Precious, you're constantly looking over your shoulders because of unfinished business.
The Bitch Is Back, has Precious glowing with the aftershocks of mother hood, Aaliyah has completed her and softened the roughened edges that life had hardened around her heart. But, troubling dreams have started to plague her peaceful equilibrium, and she begins to fear for her daughters' safety. Supreme doesn't take her worries seriously, until her dreams become a terrifying reality. Aaliyah's kidnapping unleashes the beast that Precious had laid to rest, and her instinctive distrust is back in effect with no discrimination. She gives everyone hell beginning with Anna, the nanny all the way to Supreme. She's searching high and low for a remembered vengeful Mike uncovering all stones in an uproar as she's hell-bent on recovering her daughter alive and well.
Deja's depiction of Precious intensifies in #3 as we get an up-close view of just how bitchy, the Queen Bitch can actually be. I've always admired Precious and her gangsta stride, but in #3 I thoroughly enjoyed the unveiling of another layer to her persona. Will Precious' independent streak put a crack in the foundation of her marriage, will her emotions get the best of her and cause the loss of her daughter, will her search for the kidnappers' and pieces of her past finally end her reign as Queen Bitch, all of this will be revealed as you read this exciting page turning best-seller! I read this soooo fast, that it took me a day to realize one distinctive attribute to this read, one that Precious' fans have never seen occur before! But to uncover this extraordinary factor, you have to hop on the Deja bandwagon and GET YO' READ ON!!! Go DEJA, do that thang diva!!!!!

The Bitch is Back Part 3
Deja King
THE B!TCH IS BACK by Deja King, This was an excellent book.
Precious is still the street smart hard core girl from the 1st and 2nd book. She still likes to takes things into her own hands. She married Supreme after him and her almost being killed by Mike, which is now supposed to be on lockdown for almost life. He tried to murder them on several occasions and even made Precious lose her baby in the last book. Precious still ended up surviving all and marrying her 2nd love Supreme, who was in the music industry and they conceived a little girl named Aaliyah. Her first love was Nicco who also tried to kill her through a misunderstanding. When Precious moved she thought she moved far away from danger, when all along she took the danger and befriended her.......
Even though Mike tried to harm her she still remained friends with his sister. His (Maya) sister is the one that saved her life from one of her struggles in the last book, which made them best friends. Everything was going ok for Precious until Mike escaped from jail, while even the police still thought he was in custody. Mike kidnaped Precious and Supremes daughter Aaliyah, which turned their world upside down for a minute. Maya stayed close by with her boyfriend Clip that was in the music industry. This was the perfect set up for Maya and Mike. Maya wanted to get Precious back because she took away the only one that took care of her, her brother. She also wanted Supreme as her man instead of Clip. Aaliyah was brought back safe, when Precious was in danger from her so called best friend Maya and her brother.
The shocking part about this is that Supreme knew nothing about what was going on, he thought his wife was going to get him a gift. Deja King definitely delivers with another mind blowing story. I can't wait until the 4th book released and hit the stands.
Deja King Congratulations to you and please keep those dynamite books coming.
