5.0 out of 5 stars Not For Sidewalk Commandos!, January 4, 2001

I really enjoyed reading Kimberly Manning's welcomed edition to the library of biker lore. It was refreshing to read these poems. They speak of the funloving, free, honest, sincere, and sometimes brutal side of the life and lifestyle experienced in the biker world. What really made it shine for me was, after reading it, you can tell that this was a labor of love and that it was written from within by a gal that really lived it. This is not a book that can be truly appreciated from any angle except from the perspective of those that have lived it. A word of caution to the "Weekend Warrior" or "Sidewalk Commando" this poetry will miss the mark for you. However if you have been in the trenches with serious bro's and sisters you will identify with the poignant scenarios Ms. Manning expresses through her writings. They are quite precise and to the point. A great read!

5.0 out of 5 stars The real thing., January 27, 2001

This review is from: Some Biker Bitches Poetry (Paperback)
Having spent many hours on the saddle of my ol sled, and having gone down many roads, it is refreshing to find a new voice that understands. Kimberly Manning has captured the heart and soul, and the blood and guts of the biker nation. This book would make good reading for any brother or little sister of the highway.
