A lot of people claim that puzzles are boring, but this one is a lot of fun. For one thing, the pieces are cut such that they follow the natural outline of some of the picture elements, making it more of a challenge to find matching pieces. Another feature is the story and mystery that go with the puzzle. Once you get the puzzle put together, you need to think about the mystery and solve it. My wife and I got about 25 total hours of fun out of this puzzle, making it an exceptional value. See my full review at [...].

This is, hands down, the most disappointing mystery puzzle I've ever done. Strike one - the puzzle, once put together, is exactly the same as the picture on the front of the box. So there is no need to put the puzzle together in order to solve the mystery. Strike two - the solution to the mystery is not included - nor is any information about how to find the solution. I found it on-line b/c other puzzlers been previously stymied by the lack of a solution and put out an on-line call. Strike three - the solution is terribly simplistic. Overall, very disappointing. Don't waste your money.

The jigsaw is a really good jigsaw -made tricky by a wide variety of randomly shaped pieces that follow shapes in the artwork and patterned backgrounds. However, it is let down by the mystery puzzle element. There is no difference between the box picture and the jigsaw picture so you don't actually need to do the jigsaw to solve the murder. Plus there are virtually zero visual clues in the picture anyway. It's more about deducing the murderer from the text of the (badly written) booklet. Serious minus points for failure to include a solution at all!!! A sealed envelope with the answer in would be a nice touch. So in summary - get this if you enjoy a jigsaw for its own pleasure; if you want a challenging visual murder mystery look elsewhere.

Very difficult puzzle. Four of us worked for several hours and couldn't even find all the outside pieces. Pieces are small. Some of the shapes have flat parts that SEEM like they belong on the outside, but they don't.
