Just viewed the Eilteljorg Museum's wonderful exhibit on the equestrian art of Mexico. I am a printmaker working with copper plate etching and have worked as a metal smith in the past. I was especially intrigued by the exquisite and intricate inlay designs (damascene) on bits and spurs. This book is the only one I found on Amazon which covers the topic in depth. If you want to know HOW to do damascene, I suggest Ray Cover's "Precious Metal Inlay" DVD.

My husband is a silversmith so I gave him this book for Christmas. He loved it! Lots of pictures and lots of history.
