These cards are so cute and witty. I'm keeping one of each for myself. My favorite is of the the chickens doing yoga on little pieces of felt - "Didn't (sic) anybody work in this town?"

When I first looked through this book I couldn't stop laughing. This book is absolutely hilariously funny. I totally get Sloane Tanen's humor. Meet Helen, Bridget, Viveca, Samantha and all the other chicks - cute, female, little, yellow chicks - depicted in day to day situations, movies, fairy tales and so on, each situation accompanied by a dry, witty comment or text. For example, imagine a little yellow chicken at the beach, naked, on a pink bath towel, surrounded by a magazine (title: Roast), sun cream and boom box. Tex: "Helen knew all about the dangers of UV rays...but roasted baked, or fried, she simply looked at her best with a tan." Each situation is beautifully designed and set in scene. The author pokes fun at us of course, the human chicks, and some of it will feel strangely familiar to you. Are you ready to face the real chicken in you?

I'd heard about this set of notecards through a friend and had trouble finding them in any local shops. I ordered them here and they came quickly and were in perfect condition!

These chicks rule! Very "tongue in cheek" and a laugh on every page! I recommend her other books as well: Appetite For Detention, and Going for The Bronze: Still Bitter, More Baggage. I find myself always going back to laugh with almost tears in my eyes. If you like smart funny women, if you were a [potencial] mean girl and if you adore dioramas-- then you have found your book mate! Recommend if you like: Tina Fey,30 Rock, Chelsea Handler, Carol Burnett and if you love pop culture/witty East Coast Humor.

Great book for single females trying to make their way in the world. This is a hilarious book! It is perfect for females over 20 who want to laugh at situations. Makes a great gift for girlfriend to girlfriend!
