What White Stripes fans should be spinning!, May 17, 2003

This new album by Dan Melchior and crew is one of the catchiest, rawest blues/garage records ever recorded. All the necessary ingrediants for a classic of this genre are here in spades; great slide guitar, well written songs, a solid back beat and loads of energy and attitude. Dan Melchior's appearance ensures he will never be an MTV heart-throb...short, stocky, receding hairline, moustache...let's just say he's got a great look for radio. It's a shame that stuff like this dictates who gets the pages in NME and who doesn't because some of the most deserving music is being ignored in favor of someone with a better haircut. I digress...BUY THIS ALBUM! This is an instant classic!

There are a lot of bands in the whole "garage rock" spectrum these days. These guys are the best of the bunch. REAL BRITISH BLUES PLAYED BY REAL BRITISH BLUESMEN. Plus the sexiest bassist in the bidness. Frogs? No Frog Difference!
