Sophie Ellis Bextor is back in the UK charts with this massive club anthem. Produced by the current master mixers the Freemasons this song takes a couple of listens and then it casts its spell. I can't get it out of my head, check out the video too. Sophie is back in fine form and if this is a good indicator of what to expect from her new album coming in July then I am very excited. Welcome back Sophie!!

I hadn't heard much from Sophie Ellis-Bextor since her 2001 hit "Murder on the Dancefloor," which had a great "Nu-disco" feel to it. "Bittersweet" sounds similar to a vocal trance anthem that you might've heard back around 2001 but it would seem that Ms. Ellis-Bextor specializes in resurrecting older genres.

Whatever the genre, "Bittersweet," especially the Freemason's mix, is easily this summer's best Dance song next to Goldfrapp's "Rocket."
