I like the bridge,

I don't live too far away from the Bixby bridge. It is the one you see in all the car commercials, a single-span concrete arched design with new cars, no traffic (!) and the ocean in the backround. It was built in the '30s, with a lot of convict labor, and was a key link in completing California Highway 1 and opening up the Big Sur coastal area.The music? This cut starts out well, the part you hear on the sample is good, but half-way through goes into repetitious non-catchy noise mode, over and over and over...Not sure why they did this. Maybe someone got to a stage where certain chords seemed cosmic or something. Very annoying. I still like the bridge. Lots of interesting history there. Looking up from the bottom is cool. Not at all cost-effective, wouldn't be built today. Yet another rescue by sheriffs rescue team the other day as people find ways to go off the nearby cliffs. I only keep it because of the bridge part. |
