Simply Exquisite,

This review is from: Bizet: Carmen Suites 1 & 2/L'Arlesienne Suites; Ponchielli: Dance of the Hours (Audio CD)
The powerful fanfare of Bizet and the superb handling of (one of) the greatest orchestra by Eugene Ormandy is somewhat difficult to comment upon. Every time one listens to this superb performance, one tends to become totally engrossed in the web of magic weaved by this combination of the composer, the orchestra and the conductor. Without trying to write a superlative review, I strongly recommend it to everyone who considers classical music of the 20th century as his forte.
