3.0 out of 5 stars Without Exception, this is Ok!
After the Amazing Jeckle Brothers, should a juggalo want more or even care? The Insane Clown Posse seem content with abandoning their spooky sideshow gimmick in favor of a more crass stance as music industry antagonists, yet not quite talented enough to be satirical lampoons. The answer is, if your infected with clown love, then sure, why not. Just No preconceived...

5.0 out of 5 stars a mother's story, January 16, 2005
This review is from: Bizzar (Audio CD)
My son, Christopher Colt Kelley, was murdered on December 21, 2001. He was 15 years old and he was a real Juggalo. He used to try and get me to play ICP cd's all the time whenever we were riding in the car together and I wouldn't listen to them. When he was murdered I took the time to sit and listen to what he was in to. I haven't stopped listening to ICP yet. I met Violent J once before Shangri-La came out and I told him all about my son. He held my hand and told me in these words that I will never forget, "You should not be sad that he is gone, you should always look at it like this, whenever it rains, that's him Raining Diamonds down on you." Then Shangri-La dropped and I heard It Rains Diamonds...and I could not stop crying. Now I am a 37 year old Juggalette and I'll be that way 'til I'm dead in the ground. My son was buried with an ICP shirt on and a Hatchetman round his neck. And I plan on going the same way. Everyone has their own thoughts about ICP and the Dark Carnival...but if you're not a true Juggalo....you'll never get it. MCL and R.I.P. Colt....we miss you.

4.0 out of 5 stars Unique!, November 22, 2000
By
This review is from: Bizzar (Audio CD)
Firstoff, to clear some confusion amongst some Insane Clown Posse fans known as ..., we can look forward to more Insane Clown Posse. Bizzar is thus unique in many ways. Firstly, its design is far removed from those of any Joker's Cards such as The Amazing Jeckel Brothers or The Great Milenko, and so forth. Furthermore, ICP themselves stated in a recent interview that they went into their Dark Carnival studio with the mindset of having never heard another piece of music ever before, as though they were the only band on the planet, and it shows. Moreso than their Joker's Cards, with their now-customary circus sounds and language, Bizzar mixes and manipulates all kinds of noises and special effects, and blends them with ICP lyrics which actually seem somewhat deeper than their usual works. In my humble opinion, Bizzar is actually better than its sister album, Bizaar, with tracks like the jamming Let's Go all The Way, Questions, which is reminiscent of How Many Times?, Mr Happy, which is hauntingly funny, and Radio Stars, in which ICP attempt to "sell-out" their artistic merits in a quest for airtime, a funny parody. Crystal Ball, however, is my favorite, in the tradition of other chilling last-tracks on ICP albums. I urge all my fellow ... to buy this cd, because even though it's not a Joker's Card, it is ICP at their most unique, not to mention hysterical. But, if you've gotta buy only one CD, buy Bizzar. You will not be disappointed.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good stuff, April 5, 2003
By
KC (Charlotte, NC USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Bizzar (Audio CD)
I'll run this down song by song as well

1. Intro - It's just a cool intro, nothin special tho

2. Bizzar - Funky ... and kinda weird, but very enjoyable. Not the best song on the album or anything, but a good song to start with

3. Cherry Pie (I Need A Freek) - This is a remake of Too Short (and also remade by Esham). It's got a really cool beat. Nothin too special but not a track I would skip.

4. Questions - A laid back song asking questions, mostly funny things. Esham on the chorus.

5. Mr. Happy - This song is great. The concept, the music, chorus, everything, it's very well done. It kinda reminds me of Dead Body Man in a small way

6. Radio Stars - As you've read, it's a song where they try different styles of music, pretty much doing parodies of each. There's a dirty south section, a Barenaked Ladies type of rock section, and an R&B section of the song. They're actually still fun to listen to even tho they are making fun of this stuff. They then decide to just stick what they do best which is....

7. My Axe - This song. This is like old school ICP, with J talkin about how his Axe is his buddy and everything. Some people love this song and some don't really like it, but I think it's really cool and has a good song structure.

8. If - I'll go ahead and admit this song is pretty [bad]. The beat and most of it isn't even rapping or singing or anything, just kinda talking. But some aspects of it still keep me interested and the chorus for some reason is cool.

9. Let's Go All The Way -THis is a remake of Sly Fox, which originally is a [bad] dance song, but ICP's version is great. They take the song, make it more like a rock song, and change the lyrics to fit more of the whole "Dark Carnival" meaning, and the song is about going to Shangri-La. You'll catch yourself singing this later and you can't deny how good this is.

10. Let a Killa - Hillarious song, funny commentary by J as well as the rapping by J and Shaggy. Shaggy's verse is one of his best. I like the beat and everything about this, I dunno why the other reviewer didn't care for this much

11. Juggalo Paradise - This is pretty cool as well. Unique sounds and stuff in the verse and then a rock chorus with shout outs and stuff.

12. Crystal Ball - How could you not like this song? It features Jamie and Monoxide of Twiztid...not Esham and Myzery as another reviewer said. It's very laid back and has a lot of meaning, then it breaks down into a very peaceful moment with a woman singing and everything. Anybody could like this song

And then there's some bonus stuff you gotta fast forward too. One bonus thing is a short song that is an accoustic guitar with Violent J singin a song about buying bizzar, ... Basically this CD isn't set up like a Joker's card at all, but it's still very enjoyable and is great to see ICP experimenting

5.0 out of 5 stars Bizzar, March 3, 2003
By
This review is from: Bizzar (Audio CD)
Here it is, the 2nd of 2 albums from ICP released on Halloween of 2000. "Bizzar", i feel, is better than it's sister album "Bizaar". Both are very different from any earlier ICP releases, in these two, Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope get more of a comical style than any, considering almost every song is full of hilarious moments and comic outakes that make this album not only bizzar, but very funny as well. I gave it a 5-star trak-by-trak review:

1. Intro - 2nd part of the Bizaar/Bizzar intros. Talks more about a strange cloud forming over the U.S and people with painted faces running in happiness, very 'Bizzar'.

2. Bizzar (5/5) - This song is killer. Some awesome production work and some awesome and hilarious raps. Has a killer chorus and a fresh new sound.

3. Cherry Pie (I Need A Freek) (5/5) - Yet another hilarious song. Fresh beats and rhymes from J & Shaggs.

4. Questions (5/5) - Not as upbeat of production as previous 2, but still a hilarious and good song, i love the line from Shaggy, "Why/everytime i swallow a flathead nail/my neck feels stale..", that's fresh as hell!

5. Mr. Happy (5/5) - Awesome song, nice and hilarious. "ooh/it feels so good when i m****r i get happy!".

6. Radio Stars (5/5) - Hilarious! Shaggy & J try to sell out and become radio stars, making pitiful attempts at mainstream airplay.

7. My Axe (4/5) - Alright, the first song i didn't think was as fresh as the others.

8. If (5/5) - This is the most hilarious song i ever heard from ICP. Great references to being things, espically the ones about John Denver and Barry White.

9. Let's Go All The Way (5/5) - Great song, not that comical, but probably my favorite from the album.

10. Let a Killa (3/5) - don't really like it that much.

11. Juggalo Paradise (2/5) - really don't like it at all.

12. Crystal Ball (5/5) - Probably the freshest thing i ever heard. Has Esham & Myzery, making it a killer track.

Check out the other "Bizaar", it's also fresh.

Peace out Juggalos

4.0 out of 5 stars Not As Good As Some Of The Joker's Cards, But Still Very Good, January 5, 2007
This review is from: Bizzar (Audio CD)
Even though this is not a joker's card, this is still a solid effort by ICP. Anybody who thinks that this record is a desperate stab at mainstream attention and sales is an idiot. Unlike Amazing Jeckel Brothers(don't get me wrong AJB is a great album), this cd doesn't feature any wasted filler from idiot mainstream rappers like ODB. This cd contains many juggalo anthems and some downright humorous songs! If you're new to ICP, then check out The Great Milenko and Amazing Jeckel Bros. first.

5.0 out of 5 stars same review i gave bizaar, October 12, 2006
This review is from: Bizzar (Audio CD)
Judging fairly, i have to say i like both bizaar and bizzar and they should have just come as a two disc set so as not to confuse some of the other a--holes that don't know the difference. although this album does have a few songs i wouldn't call great, the majority of the album is just absolutely great. I liked the songs pendulum's promise and crystal ball off the other album the most. they had the most important message over the entire CDs. i was just disappointed that i couldn't have those songs by themselves instead of with all the extra hidden songs at the end of the albums. i thought those extra songs were a good addition and would have thought they would have been better if added as extra tracks rather then having to fast forward over quite a bit of empty space.

as for placing in the ICP catagory of worst to greatest with the Dark Lotus Revisited being a lame 1 (because they redid it removing Marz for personal reasons. i loved the original version) and The Amazing Jeckel Bros. being a 10 (i just really loved that album), i place this album at about 8 for the couple of songs that weren't exactly great.

the reason i gave this album the same review as bizaar was because they were pretty much the same style and the songs were just about equal in greatness. sorry for being lame for writing the same crap over.

2.0 out of 5 stars This was the turning point..., February 5, 2006
This review is from: Bizzar (Audio CD)
In my opinion, this is the second worst album that ICP as ever put out, second only to the Wraith:Shangri-La. The only good songs on the entire album are "Cherry Pie," which is a remake of "I Need A Freak," and "Crystal Ball" which features Twiztid. The hidden skits and songs are pretty funny, but the rest of the stuff if a pathetic attempt to sell out to the mainstream. If you're a die hard ICP fan, you will probably like this, but if you love music and have a brain of your own, then you will see this for what it is.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bizzar, January 4, 2005
This review is from: Bizzar (Audio CD)
Intro: An Intro that samples the movie Urban Legend. 2/5

Bizzar: Crazy production and lyrics. 3/5

Cherry Pie: Cool song, cherry pie is something i cannot describe on Amazon. 5/5

Questions: A song bout why they can't see when they stab there eyes or when they chokes friends necks they don't come back, u get the drift. 4/5

Mr.Happy: A good song bout J getting happy when he murders. 4/5

Radio Stars: Totally funny song about J and Shaggy selling out and making mainstream music but fail, they try things like DMX, some cheesey punk band and some club music. 5/5

My Axe: An ok song about J and his buddy the axe. 3/5

If: A very weird song, but very good. 3/5

Lets Go All The Way: A cover of a very bad 80's disco song, but ICP make it their own, and it's great, one of the reasons to get this album. 5/5

Let A Killa: Another great song about J and Shaggy wanting to get it on with celebs like Britney and other women, Shaggys verse is excellent. 5/5

Juggalo Paradise: A good rocking chorus and good lyrics. 3/5

Crystal Ball w/Twiztid: Fantastic song, anybody could like this song, i was certainly suprised the 1st time i heard this and you will be when you hear some of the songs before this, it shows how diverse ICP can be.

Overall: A very different album that takes a break from the Dark Carnival music, another top album from ICP

5.0 out of 5 stars Welcome To Bizzar, September 23, 2004
This review is from: Bizzar (Audio CD)
This CD is like a break from all the Dark Carnival thing. Two CDs for ICP just to have fun with - and for all the Juggalos to have fun with too. Unfortunately, there are some lame Juggalos out there who didn't like Shangri-La and Bizzar/Bizaar just because they were not that violent... And they suck for that!
This CD is better than many Joker's Cards... 'Let A Killa' and 'Let's Go All The Way' are awesome, 'My Axe' too... This is, indeed, a "happy CD"... But since I like funny songs and I like to laugh, this CD was the bomb for me.
