Very limited audience, but well worth it for them,

Just copped this today..nice to have an "official" acappella album for blends and such. If you're not into mixing and blending, however, the only appeal of this album is hearing the power of the words, without any instrumentals.

I say this to Ryan simply because of the shock I went through when I was in Target looking for the new 8ball & MJG album (which is a 5 star album, pick it up!!!). When I saw that Jay-Z put this acappella album out all I could think was damn!, this guy will do anything for money!!! I loved The Black Album, but I just didnt understand this. But if your into mixing; then I guess it makes a hell of a lot of sense! LOL I did listen to the album, and it was decent, i wouldn't buy it simply because I gotta have the beats, but it is kinda nice if you just want to focus on the lyrics and really hear what Jay is saying, so maybe this album wasnt such a bad idea after all, it just depends on your opinion. 5 stars b/c the original was that damn good!!!!!

Eh,

As much as I like Jay-Z, I find it hard to listen to even two tracks on this album. He's a good rapper and all, but his voice can get kind of annoying after awhile. So, I tried listening to this album but got nothing but annoyance. I like the normal version because of the beats so I got that, but I downloaded the acapella to see how it sounded. It kinda sucked. I'm glad I downloaded it, because it wasn't worth my money. But seriously, if you're a DJ and want to use some of your own beats to back up his voice, go right ahead.
