This is one of her best, in my opinion, and why it wasn't released here is beyond me! Her remakes of Sly and the Family Stone's "Stay" and "Don't Say Goodnight" by the Isley Brothers are new classics, and she lays down a nice mellow "old school" funk and R&B groove on most of these songs, notably "Let Me Inside" and "Perfect". She is one of the most underrated artists out there, and it's a shame she doesn't get more play over here, especially when you look at the non-singing skanks that are out there today!

For those of us who are fortunate to have heard Mica Paris' previous works know that this woman can flat out sing with the best in the R&B, neo-soul genre. I love Mica Paris! This cd "Black Angel" is just another great addition to her catalog. Mica Paris is a British R&B, Neo-Soul singer that gets no airplay here in the U.S. and thus why a lot of people do not know of this fabulous lady!

i have just been getting into mica paris again but had never listened to this album before.

i am a big fan of hers , and have to say that this is her best album of all! her voice is at its best, over a collection of classy songs full of soul and mellow beats.classic!

and like so many great singers, will never be allowed the wider audience she deserves.

This cd must be available in the U.S. Mica gives it her best yet on this cd. Strong vocals, great material! This cd reminds me of her first cd that introduced her to the U.S. It's great to see that she is staying strong eventhough the U.S. has not accepted/or acknowledge any of her previous material. A strong soulful vocie is what we need going into 2009. Hopefully, a record company will pick this artist up again... Favorite tracks: Let Me Inside, Hate To Love, I'll Give You More, I've Should Have Known Better. Two remakes on this cd (Stay) from Sly and the Family Stone and (Don't Say Goodnight)from The Isley Brothers. She really owns those tracks! Great job Mica......

UK has a treasure here. Just love her smokey deep voice and then she can hit the highest notes as well. Her versatility in range is why i consider her teh best from UK.
