This is not at all the book I'd hoped for. First it is all in black and white; has small photo of illustrator in most instances and no examples of their work. It is NOT what I need to quickly have a reference of Black children's illustrators AND their work. Still need to go on-line and search for illustration examples, print them, compiling my own reference companion, getting their contact information. Was not worth it except as something of an initial guide.
