This bookend is awesome. I was looking for something a little different, and this is it! It holds books perfectly, doesn't move around if a book is taken from the stack it's holding.

One thing I wanted to point out, in case anyone reads too quickly through descriptions as I did - there is only one bookend here, it's not a set of two you're getting. I was so surprised when I opened the package to see only one James and then went back to the site and saw ohhhh ... yup, it says it's only one, not a set. The description is fine, I just wasn't thorough when I read it. But I figured I'd mention it in case anyone else does the same thing.

GREAT product, I can't wait for people to notice it, as I'm sure they will.

This cute, single bookend didn't compare favorably to the elegance, function, versatility, or price of our new Kikkerland "Leaning Ladies" and "Leaning Men" bookends. "James the Bookend" is also a little wide for our taste, using up too much space on the shelf. We returned the black one and gave the blue one to our teenage daughter, who loves it.

These bookends designed by black & blum are not only durable but stylish and playful as well. Many people comment on them in my office. They add a little flair to my workplace.

The bookends were delivered a week and a half after I ordered them online. The came in new condition like stated and in professional protective wrapping. They were made of a heavier hard plastic and hold up books wonderful. There is a medal piece screwed into the foot touching the books. This helps make the product support books more easily. It stays in place and adds color to my bookcases. I loved the product so much that I ordered two of them for either bookcase. The only thing that I didn't like is the thick outline of plastic around the character. I think it would look better without it but regardless, it looks wonderful.

We ordered two of the bookends for our kitchen cookbooks. They do the job they were purchased for and make a wonderful accent piece that our fguests have commented on.

I have these in my office and everyone comments on them. They are so unique. No bookmark is ever sturdy enough for me. I guess I need to just buy cement blocks! Ha!

I use this book end with ARTORI Design "Falling Books" Falling Bookend Metal Bookend, because BOTH book ends only come with one. So i put this one on one end the the ARTORI Design on the other, so if you stand back and look at the whole shelf it appears that this book end is pushing the books over the books onto the other ARTORI book end. I think together they make a great match!
