The entire unit is made out of rigid 12 gauge steel, making it nearly impossible to bow or bend. It's also heavy. It's made by a USA company, Rhino Safes, so the metal is very very strong and not cheap.
Ray
It makes sense as a place to keep a few guns handy in the bedroom even if you have another big safe in the basement.
Gale
This is a high quality safe that serves to keep several firearms easily accessible yet safely secured.

Pros:
-very very strong. i tried to drill a hole on the side. after a few hours, and a few bits, there was no way i could penetrate a hole from the side. so i drilled holes on top to bolt to a heavy duty Kryptonite Bike Chain, that is bolted to the bed frame. And i also attached beams to make it difficult to mount onto a dolly. (i won't go into more details. use imagination). for the price, compared to other safes in the same price range, this is 12 gauge steel. other under bed safes are thinner 14 and 16 gauges. i can also bolt to bed box, barbells, possibilities are endless.
-the whole unit is welded together, except for the door.
-the door hinge is hidden.
-the door is sunk in to prevent prying.
-heavy enough to be difficult to walk out.
-not too heavy for me to lug into bedroom by myself
-very roomy, enough to add lots of goodies inside to weigh it down.
-the minimum required UL entry is 10,000 cycles while the keypad is designed for 100,000 entry cycles
-completely out of sight under the bed. i have older safes that are difficult to hide.
-no drawer so there is no maximum load. only as much as you can fit in the box.
-It's made by a USA company, Rhino Safes, so the metal is very very strong and not cheap.

Cons:
-what i hate about it is that the dial has to be pulled out in order to change the battery. therefore, exposing a wire that can be cut, just to annoy the owner. thus, to remedy that, i added an extra security layer (don't ask how, i won't say online), in order to prevent anyone from exposing the wires. Yes i'd have to unlock this lock to press the keypad.
-not intended for quick access. there is no drawer to pull out a longgun.

This is a high quality safe that serves to keep several firearms easily accessible yet safely secured. I did have to get bed frame risers in order for it to fit under my bed, so make sure you check the clearance you have and plan accordingly. The locking mechanism is sound and the overall construction is excellent. I can easily fit three rifles/shotguns and several pistols inside. I highly recommend this safe to anyone looking for secure and convenient firearm storage that fits discreetly out of sight under you bed.

The construction is VERY sturdy. It makes sense as a place to keep a few guns handy in the bedroom even if you have another big safe in the basement. This is a good safe for keeping guns out of the hands of kids and would be good for someone living in an apartment. No safe is perfect and it would be cool to see this one with more lock options because like most safes it only opens with the lighted key pad.

Door was loose and out of adjustment. Battery for key pad was dead. Overall lack of quality control. Recommended if price was lower and purchaser has some mechanical skills.

Safe was pretty much as expected, I did not rate it higher for two reasons. The first reason was that the electronic key pad had some scratches on it, the keypad functioned well but when you buy something brand new you expect it to look brand new. Second reason was that it came with no instructions whatsoever. I had to "you tube it" in order to figure out how to use it.
