Players learn the life story of each boxer and how winning will benefit them. Characters are differentiated not only by their look but by their individual personalities, which are enhanced by the games advanced AI system. More than 30 unique and detailed facial animations convey the boxers mood and reaction to landed punches. Additional game features include five modes of play (training, single, championship, survival, and two-player), a choice of first-person or close-up third-person camera viewpoints, and boxers life mode, which offers full-motion video updates to reflect the impact of the fights outcome on the characters life. Special effects include stars, perspiration, particle effects, and explosions that indicate the effectiveness of a particular punch.

Decent Game, But heres what it Lacks,
By A Customer
This review is from: Black & Bruised (Video Game)
1. No Season Mode: Even if they made a pointless season mode, it would still have been better than Nothing. 2. NO create a Boxer, which coulda' gave the game insane replay factor 3.No use of Money. 4. No upgrades to skills or experience 5. NO instant Kos: in most matches you have to knock the guy down 4-5 times to win, Even if You pummel the guy you wont get an instant KO. 6. The combos are kinda hard, so gameplay just turns into button smashing. If these things were present You would see Black and Bruised with the top sellers, maybe we'll get lucky in Black & Bruised 2, until then pick this one up off eBay

I guess if this was backed by EAsports and it had real boxers it would be called knockout kings 2004.
