Product Description

The Black Bull 12 Volt Automatic Electric Car Jack is ideal to have on hand for emergency roadside tire changes. Don’t get stuck on the side of the road changing a flat tire with a manual jack. This 2,000-pound capacity jack (that’s 1 ton) is fully automatic, and is powered by your car’s cigarette lighter. If you need to add air to your tires, just plug it into the cigarette lighter outlet of your car or truck and turn the power on. It is lightweight and doesn’t weigh a ton, so it’s super easy to transport in and out of the trunk of the car. Packaged inside a compact and sturdy plastic case, it weighs only 11 pounds total and stores safely and easily until you need it most. That’s a convenience that teens, seniors, or folks with mobility impairments will appreciate. No need to work up a sweat jacking a car up by hand when the Black Bull Electric Car Jack will air up your tires quickly and effortlessly. With a lifting height of 5 to 14 inches, the Black Bull 12 Volt Automatic Electric Car Jack can lift most four-door and two-door cars, sedans or coups with standard wheels. This jack may not be appropriate for changing tires on a truck or SUV.

I bought this jack for my wife to use in her car. It's light weight and comes with a sturdy case. All well done with the important exception of the small cradle at the top of the jack that is intended to support the car. It broke in two pieces about half way up and shot across the cement garage floor with enough force to cause injury. This bent the underlaying u-bracket that was suddenly left holding the front end of one side of the car off the ground. Two-ton capacity - I would have to say this is unrealistice - I was jacking up an unloaded Honda Accord.
An unsafe product in my experience, and a real shame because for a dollar or two more in manufacturing the product could be made reliable and useful. I wouldn't use this device on a bet due to the pot-metal used to make the four-way cradle that is intended to support 2,200 lbs?!
Sincerely,
RM

I have eight cars and I bought this because I hate jacking the car by hand, esp when using the small jack provided by the car manufacturer. I have a garage jack, but who brings that with them?
Anyways, I bought it and it has sit in my garage for two years until recently and I'm wondering why it took me so long to use it? I jacked up my wife's Lexus and a friend's miata with no problem.
The guy that had an issue with the pad at the top of the jack, you have to either evenly load the weight on the pad or if you're using the slot, make sure the weight is slotted correctly, otherwise you'll have no problem. When I say "slotted" correctly, you have to make sure the frame where it drops in isn't bent and it goes in perpendicular to the floor and parallel to the slot. Sounds like "user error" to me. I do, however, agree that perhaps it should be made of a more durable material.

My next test is to have the jack lift my Chevy 2500 Duramax truck. I might have to put it on pavers. Before I do that I'll check the weight limit on this jack.
Update 12/2: I guess it won't lift my truck as it has a capacity of 2k lbs. Truck is too high anyways, but it's no problem with any of my other cars.

I used it twice to rotate the tires on my mid-sized car. Worked fine both times. Third time I tried to use it to change a tire it would not go up. Used the crank to open the jack about an inch and it would come down okay but not go up. I'd rate it as a piece of junk. I would not recommend it to anyone. Nice idea but not well built.

I bought this jack, and it is not of very good construction, it struggled to lift my camry.
One day i was putting it back in my trunk when it fell and the motor broke off, then i saw that even the gears were made of plastic.I would not recommend this jack to anyone.

I have owned one of these for about 2 years. I used it once or twice then put it away and haven't touched it since. I noticed that some of the reviewers state that they are over 60 years old. They probably started jacking up their cars with this thing when they were in their mid 50's because it's VERY slow. I mean it is painfully slow to lift a vehicle. I have an '06 GMC Envoy SUV and it took a good 20 minutes to get it off the ground high enough to remove the tire.

I've had this jack for 4 years and it sees use 2-3 times per year.

It worked well and saved me an awful lot of twisting. It seems to labor to jack up just one corner of my jeep.

like another reviewer experienced, the top jack pad is not very substantial. it's a metal paint over hard plastic!! mine has been showing signs of wear for a while and finally shattered (spectacularly, I might add) while starting to lower the vehicle. once it shattered the jack shifted and went crooked. thankfully, the vehicle was on jack stands and didn't fall.

Will I buy another? I like the electric aspect, but I'm shopping for a better design.

It's not when and how it works that should matter to anyone, but how it fails, and it will.
I used it a total of four times and during these four times as many other reviewers, l was delighted. After all, what is required of this thing anyway? Made to lift and return, period. The fifth time it was used to jack a Prius, no less, the motor continued running yet not raising the car any longer. It would NOT lower either. It would just idly run and smoke...yes, smoke. My battery was getting hot, no use continuing so l had to get my manual jack to release this clunker. When it was out, the side of the gearbox assembly had basically blown out. The wall was pushed out by gears slipped off their axle. After checking them l realized they are made of crap iron, extremely brittle. The only thing keeping the car up was the worm gear and the axle ran by it was bending as in ready to release. I was lucky the car didn't drop while changing from one jack to another...in this situation l saw no other alternative getting the car down.
Okay so maybe you figure yours will be just fine, meaning you are willing to gamble, well, let me just say that because of ultra cheap materials used here, at the very least the car could have been seriously damaged. I very seldom feel the need to criticize, but this seemingly useful and convenient tool is dangerous, especially after working well a few times, it inspires trust.
I hope l helped some here and have not wasted my time. This jack was for my wife's use in case of an emergency. This sorry jack could have been the need for an emergency.
IN SPITE OF IT ALL and believe it or not l bought a second one over a year later...because "in spite of it all" it is extremely convenient to use.
