Richard tells it like it is. I had the priviiege to work with/around Richard for many years. He was/is a great "COP". There are many things that he left out, probility because it would scare many readers if they knew just how biased the department REALLY IS. Great reading, eye opening and insightful. God bless you Richard for sharing your life with us.

An interesting look at law enforcement from an African-American viewpoint. It is open, honest, and real. More minorities, in law enforcement, should put pen to paper to inform prospective police officers of the pitfalls of the profession. It should not be a forgone conclusion that policing is for the adrenaline junkie. It takes a well grounded, no nonsense, and compassionate person to be an effective police officer. The reader will learn a lot.
