Summary:
If you are looking for a cheap thank you card for friends and most business applications these will work fine. If you are trying to use this for upscale business messages, such as for potential employers, they look unprofessional.

There is a UV (think glossy) coating on the printed areas. This lets them run the press at much higher speeds and therefore saves on the cost. Peter Pauper Press used a lighter ~80-100 lb offset stock; heavier, but not card/index/cover stock heavy. Put four sheets of office paper together and that is about the thickness you should expect.

Pros
-cheap
-great for friends
-comes with envelopes

Cons
-UV coating prevents recycling, makes them look low class (think thermography), not lined up on 20% of my cards
-paper stock is light

First of all, these are beautiful cards. They are cream color with a linen texture. The print is a glossy black that exudes a very classy feel. Each card comes with a matching envelope with a lick-and-seal strip.

My main grind is the information on the back. They have:
- Company Name (twice)
- Copyright Date
- Company address
- "All rights reserved"
- ISBN number
- "Printed in Hong Kong"
- Website

Seriously? That's tacky and just annoying enough for me to look for another alternative to these cards next time I place an order. If you can tolerate the text on the back, they are fine cards.

I am so pleased with these cards. They are big enough for a quick note, and don't make one feel like you have to write a lot take up all the card space. I have used these for professional reasons and the coloring works perfect for that type usage. I would definitely buy these again.

These cards are impressively crafted and very professional looking! However, two stars off for a fairly large text on the back that includes the copyright, title, address, ISBN(seriously?), location of printing, website, logo, and the name of the company twice. Woah. Calm down with that please.

What can I say? These are printed well on nice thick paper and are simple enough that you can make of them whatever you want. If you find yourself sending thank you cards to various people on a regular basis then these will work out really nicely. I was looking for a nice simple cards that I could send without either feeling like I was sending gaudy, tacky little things that people seem to feel are the norm these days or like I was just sending a business letter. These allow you to write a handwritten note, and have your message delivered by a real, live, person! It seems so romantic, the thought of having somebody hand deliver a note for just the cost of these notes and a stamp (liable to change suddenly) that you might think these are too good to be true, but I assure you, the postal service and this Peter Pauper Press fellow seem to have teamed up to bring you this little known gem of American life. Impress colleagues and friends (hell, I hear you can even write to the President of The United States) with these notes and you won't be sorry. Just use a nice luxurious pen while your at it. I mean, if you've come this far...

I recently graduated college and received a few gifts, I needed some cards that were appropriate for the occasion and were preferably not too wedding like or feminine. Well I found these and saw that they fit the bill so I ordered them. When these arrived I was surprised upon first opening the box that the card stock was fairly high quality and the printing was raised, but as I flipped through the cards I found that the package was shipped one card short and two of the cards were damaged, these were not damaged in shipping as best as I could tell because they were in the middle of the stack. Well that means that out of 14 supposed cards I was left with only 11. That was enough for my purposes, and I needed to get the cards out as I was not expecting any gifts, so I hadn't any thank you cards at the ready for the occasion so I didn't bother returning them, but I felt it was unacceptable and am thus writing this review. One other minor complaint that was not entirely unexpected was that these were printed in Hong Kong, not that I am all for american products, but this is a slight aggravation as printing is one of the few things that I thought was not really justifiably cheaper to perform over seas.

Was able to feed these through my HP5610 printer and it turned out very well. High quality paper, crisp printing on the front of the cards. Will order again.

I bought these for my boss who was looking for something "professional, classy, and not too feminine." When I showed them to him, he was very happy. They are very professional and classy, with textured paper and the simple "Thank You" in black.
